  1. To me, no other comedian comes close, and comparisons with Chubby Brown (who I've never liked) are wide of the mark IMO Being only 35 I'm just glad I got to see him at the Embassy - I was sh?tting myself all night though in case he singled me out
  2. Agreed, it's just not funny at all to me
  3. Thing is, fair enough once in a while a player needs a bollocking But basically Hull got spanked because City have better players and had a bit of luck on the day I suppose Just shouting at them and making out like they haven't tried is very simplistic, I doubt all XI just didn't bother, sometimes you simply come up against a better team on the day He also referred to himself in the third person, egotism at its worst. Bit of a media whore is old Browny, something of an Allardyce clone it seems I think he's got a tad lucky with Geovanni being fit and interested so far but they'll fall down the table
  4. I like the Royle family, like many shows particularly the earlier ones But from what you've listed you MUST watch It's always Sunny in Philadelphia, very funny indeed, I have no hesitation in recommending it Curb your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development both very good too The Yanks can be funny, I've been surprised to discover, Danny Devito is in 'Sunny' as they call it and that would normally put me off - he's actually very, very good
  5. Wouldn't rule it out totally Pompey are hurtling towards the drop too IMO
  6. I'm a Little Hultoner too matey It may be xmas - but expecting a round of applause for having our accent on a BWFC site is pushing it
  7. Of course they make a profit, they are not a charity. The fact is though they are more qualified than a football forum to advise. There are insurances against bad advice etc etc I'd go to an IFA for sure
  8. Adams said Crouch was the only plus point for 'leading the line well' They've not been doing that well really, they are a side in sharp decline IMO
  9. Hunt was on the bench at Brum today And they had Ridgewell out injured so they were a defender light Maybe Hunt had a knock or summat, I don't know to be honest
  10. Torres is a nice little puncher You'll find footage on youtube of him VERY nearly knocking Cotto out, and Cotto is one of the top guys around He just got sucker punched big time against Holt in that clip
  11. I know - 15 cans of Stella, normal Stella, 440ml cans, for ?6.50 or so the other week It's almost immoral, no wonder there's so many p?ss artists about
  12. Correct I VERY much doubt Pompey will be shelling out ?10m plus, and I hope they don't And I don't think they'll be so attractive to players either right now, Adams is a crank and they are a sinking ship IMO
  13. I like American comedies at the moment, having watched all the British ones. It's always sunny in Philadelphia is absolutely brilliant I would heartily recommend it to anyone Arrested Development is very good I've acquired the American Office that I believe is good too UK wise I don't watch much outside of football and boxing to be honest
  14. What's going on here? Is it a poem? Or an anagram? Crossword (Cryptic)?
  15. I'm with Filthy, NB and CWP When 'Megson's merry men' (dressed up as Robin Hood) got clobbered by the police in Madrid we p?ssed ourselves laughing at em... fools
  16. Queued all b?stard night for that, it was freezing and I didn't get tickets (got within twenty yards before the shutters went down) My dad had said 'f?ck that, no chance I'm queueing all night' and his mate got him 2 tickets somehow or other, he took my uncle No justice
  17. There's a site www.diynot.com that has forums, do a search there, lots of decent advice about all sorts of stuff like this I did read they weren't up to much BUT I've no experience of them and the technology has probably improved a lot
  18. We lost to a very good team That's all, forget about it and move on to the next games, some winnable ones coming up to cement our place in mid-table
  19. Couple more yesterday Only seen MOTD highlights but Laursen looked like he gave us nightmares He does to most teams to be fair
  20. A win here would be a fantastic result If Steinsson contains Young and Muamba can set about Barry we could surprise em. As ever, particularly where teams expect to beat us, making a decent start is key. However, 1-0 Villa I reckon, sadly
  21. Well done to Megson, he's kept his head when others were losing theirs (me included) Long may it continue
  22. Different eras and different circumstances, I'm a big fan of both, but I find it hard to decide who I'd rate as the better boss for us. Probably Allardyce on longevity but it's close Fact is Rioch turned a mid table div 3 outfit into a top flight team in 3 seasons, had all those cup wins, and got us to a cup final. I never imagined I'd even see Bolton in the top flight until Rioch totally changed the BWFC mindset.
  23. My uncle played for LH Rangers in that era, good team indeed, they were in multiple cup finals on Harper Green every year ! Was a bit different in that generation - genuinely tough lads without any silliness like taking weapons on the pitch. It is the Armitage too by the way
  24. I never liked them because they are Mockneys. That's enough for me. I'm considering a reappraisal though, and actually listening to their back catalogue, because I got into that 'The Good, the Bad and the Queen' album of Damon Albarn / Paul Simonon's and it's f?cking quality
  25. I know of both the guys you are talking about They're a few years older than me, but when I was a teenager we played football with them on the park regularly, quite an education The car on pitch episode was actually in Walkden on Darley Street, our home pitch. We were meant to play on it in the afternoon, we thought it was joyriders that'd done it, until I heard the story that night in the Horse Shoe ! Some serious head the balls in LH, take their football very seriously. Bolton Castle were always a set of nutjobs too in my experience.
