Am working Friday so my plans are down the shitter
-
So many idiots on Facebook and Twitter demanding we get rid of him because they think he is costing us big wages. Him having this type of injury is mostly covered by insurance plus I doubt he's the highest earner coming in from the MLS. so chances are we will give him another season to give him a fair chance. I think he has at least earnt that with his attitude alone

I'm in for this hope we will be given the full stand we could fill it at this rate
-
Isn't the duke out of contract, Cardiff don't seem to be that bothered about mason either
-
I would happily take coyle back over freedman but he would have to leave his family and friends without a job to be welcomed back
-
Won 2 at home (in the league) and only picked up 12 points in total is compleatly inexcusable yet they still expect people to shell out to attend each week. Thank god I have a 600 mile round trip as an excuse to not attend because it's got to be the worst value for money for almost every football club in the country

Remember that well as the teams walked out he followed and looked at us with a clentched fist and saying come on. I think David lee pips it for me, that night at Anfield confirmed me as a fan for life and he played such a big part in my love for the team when I first started going with my dad Top three 1. David lee 2. Alan Thompson 3. Supper John

Sums it up very well

He's had plenty of time to make the changes he feels fit and yet he's apparently still not to blame for the players performances. When exactly will he be accountable for the on field shambles?
-
Freedmans to blame if they don't give a shit
-
I used to go to ever game for a number of seasons but lives change or you work out that there are othere things that are worth spending your money / time doing. No matter if you go to ever game or you go to just the odd one you are still able to have an opinion. Nothing against negative posts as long as they are constructive

How the hell has freedman got so much support to stay given our position? Why are so many wanting to give him until 10 games into next season. What good will it do exactly?
-
Farrely was a good signing for the championship he created a shed load of opotunities for Ricketts. Saying that he went down hill once we went up
-
The players were just over achieving then last 4 months of last season then. These players are not great granted but they all have it inside them to be playing considerably better than they are. A better manager could achive a play off spot with this team.

Go should have gone months ago

I think that gartside and the board like to dress our financial position up to look a lot worse than it actually is. If we were so badly in debt why would we invest money in the hotel and spend money on spearing and beckford. It's all smoke and mirrors to take the pressure off the manager to buy him a year to hopefully improve. they won't have us outside gig lane shaking buckets just yet
-
We had to sell our best players back then due to the clubs finances, similar to now. fortunately then some of our players could attract big ish transfer fees. Sam went out and brought in players in on the cheep who were a success such as Ricketts, Hendry, Charlton, Barness and Farrely to name a few along with bringing thru youth in Nolan and jussi. Freedman has not had anywhere close to the same impact. In time he might but I can't say I think he will.
-
He sold eider and jenson first Sumer out of choice then
-
Beat them last season so no reason why we can't beat them again
-
Southend away please

I would drive him back up to Bolton myself. What happened in the past is water under the bridge. The only question that should be asked is, is he is a better qualified manager than the current one he would be replacing and the answer is an easy one. Yes

We are not going to be sacking freedman as we can not afford to but eventually he has to ask himself the question am I the right man for the job. I fear he may stick around a bit longer than he is still welcome. Given the matches coming up we may well be looking at a fare few defeats coming our way. I see it as unlikely everything will be rosy so will likely be the case that either he will be leaving with some dignity in tact or that the bed sheets will be out in force.

If I was him I would want to play in the World Cup. It's kind of a big deal for a professional footballer

161m sounds bad but when you look at the bigger picture I don't think it's all bad news. Take a look at many clubs and they will not have the facilities and differing areas of income coming into there clubs. The debt has not risen due to over spending in the transfer market it has grown due to investments made to the clubs infrastructure. What would put everyone's mind at easy is for the club to state the business plans for how they focast profitability from all of these business areas the club has invested heavily in. To grow any business you need to invest wisely. Investments have not been made massively on the football side of things because of financial fare play rules coming into force. The board would have known full well this would possibly lead to relegations but for the long term future it may have been a sensible risk.

Signs He's Getting It Right / Will Get It Right
glossopWANDERER replied to jules_darby's topic in Terrace Talk
positives - once on a run of form he is capable of keeping spirits high to prolong a run, if he is able to get lucky and sign the correct defenders in the transfer market i could see him being able to achieve consistent clean sheets. if he left / sacked would we be able to get better - yes even with the debt and lack of spending power we are still an attractive club at championship level. we have the ability within the squad that with adding good loans / cheap signing we should challenge for promotion in 2014/15
