Why don't you run it, get some road miles in

we'll get a very warm welcome from exeter

they hate plymouth

Aimson will play I expect. Have they picked up since his arrival?

Up and down. Lost one of their last 7 and beat Barnsley at home. Be a tough game.

Has it sold out ?

Not quite. Both home and away are quite close.

Any ideas why I can’t buy online ?

Escort?

talking about Exeter here not millwall

..or Shifnall St.

After our semifinal win at Accy our league form dipped so I'm just hoping that we don't have a cup hangover again as Exeter have definitely improved and are on the up. Their home form has been excellent with Aimson at his best at the back and Stansfield shining on the wing.

Personally I reckon Nombe or Scott won't get any joy out of Rico and Stansfield should get pushed back by Bradley so providing our heads are in the right place we can nullify their attack and produce some quality to score ourselves - but we'll have to be on it.

Posh are away at the Shrews and I had expected they might slip up there but the Shrews have had a bit of a wobble recently. Derby at FGR - should win - and Wycombe have a tough one away at Ipswich - so we could really do with the 3 points against the Grecians to put some pressure on the teams around us. We know we can produce some excellent football when we're on our game so rather than worry about Exeter, I'm going to worry about us :)

I would add that there is history of teams winning the cup and then slumping in the league so I hope Evatt finds a way of firing them again.

Last season Rotherham nearly threw away their promotion chances winning only 3 of their last seven after the cup final - while Sutton who they beat at Wembley went on a fantastic run and almost got promoted.

Previous year, Sunderland were in the automatic places when they won the PJT. After Wembley they slumped and ended up losing in the playoffs.

We can't make the same mistake.

Much rather be in our position having won 4-0 going to The Exeter than lost 4-0 and going to Morecambe.

But football doesn’t follow logic sometimes, that’s why we love it!

Schumacher will be analysing the shit out of that match and wading into his players to make damn sure they go into the rest of their season with the right attitude and application.

Evatt should be jumping all over any signs of complacency in our lot and using the result to remind those who didn't play what level they need to be at to get into the team. Standards have been set and anything less is unacceptable - and Evatt needs to be brutal with them this week IMO.

If we don’t trust Evatt by now that he will have planned for Exeter before and after the final then we never will. If we underperform Friday, it won’t be a criticism from me of Evatts approach and planning. More an inexperience to apply and execute the plan.

But do you know what after Sunday I’ll personally be in a forgiving mood and Im down here in Devon well up for the game!

And my gut is that Evatt and the players will be the same.

No negative thoughts from me. I’ll deal with the negative if it transpires. I think that Sunday will give us the platform for a decent run in now.

I'll be amazed if Evatt has much of a job to do keeping the players focused.

They will self police after that on Sunday. Doubt very much complacency will be an issue for the rest of the season. Not saying we'll win every game but we'll be up for them all.

Them going on the train do you change or go through Bristol Temple Meads? From Worcester I Change there

From what I’m reading his plan to treat as another normal game backfired as players drove up day before and rocked up at Wembley in tracksuits 90 minutes before KO and still in selfie mode at KO , whereas you went down on Friday and went to Wembley on Saturday and did suits to travel making it feel different

Reminds me of our Watford play-off final. The start of Colin Todd’s downfall. I was really pissed off with him after taking that approach.

Players have been arriving in suits for last 6 months but rest sounds sensible preparation for a final at Wembley

Stansfied was stretchered off at Fleetwood Saturday after getting his studs caught in whatever resembles turf at Fleetwood.
