April 5, 20233 yr I've taken this from twitter so unsure how accurate, but could be a big summer for the manager / owners
April 5, 20233 yr Big Summer indeed, Keep Lee, Sheehan, Kachunga and Bod, need to be prioritising the keeper situation, but trust Evatt will be ahead of the field in recruitment.

Agree with the above. I think Kachunga has more than repaid us for that sending off. GK situation is crucial next season. If we go up we’ll have a good chance of Traf coming back. If not we need 2 decent GK for next season for sure. Edited April 5, 20233 yr by kevsta69
April 5, 20233 yr Perhaps only keep one of Kachunga and bod. Dont want too many older strikers, especially ones that get a few injuries.
April 5, 20233 yr Suspect Bod already knows he's gone. Looked a bit pissed off when he was shoved to the front to orchestrate the thunder clap. I may be reading too much into it.

April 5, 20233 yr Would happily see any of the extend ones kept, aside from maybe Ingrove. Actually like Dixon, he was the keeper when we had our downfall last season and hasn't had chance since. Loan players, Trafford won't be an option, would have Bradley back, although I'd prefer to use one of our own RWB as having 6 loan players in a season does little for our own club development.
April 5, 20233 yr I'm not sure Bradley or Trafford will be offered back next season. Can see them both being on the bench at Liverpool and City. Other loans will be available though and we seem to have confidence with the big clubs to bring them forward. As do may others unfortunately.
April 5, 20233 yr I can see both Trafford & Bradley being with us in the Championship next season. Neither are ready to be in a PL 25-man squad, so might as well progress with us for another season.

April 5, 20233 yr I am very relaxed about who is staying who will leave, as long as we have Evatt, Atherton, Markham in control it'll be reet.
April 6, 20233 yr After Sheehan last 2 performances in his new position I would keep him which as changed my opinion as for Lee no brainier keep him.

I don't envy their recruitment task if we make the playoffs as their MO to date has been to scout their options well in advance and get in early, but this year they could have the dilemma of which league they are recruiting for. I certainly think we'll need to recruit some substantially better players to survive if we go up having seen the standard in the Championship this year - and hopefully the budget can be found.

They will already have a file for players marked league 1 and another marked as championship.

And I'd expect they've already asked City/Liverpool about keeping Trafford/Bradley and also asked how soon they can return Shoretire to the scum.
April 6, 20233 yr Id guess shoretire is here next season Maybe as a perm Id find a way of keeping bod Bradley, if we go up Traf, prob at burnley if they get promoted

April 10, 20233 yr Personally I'd keep Bod if we're league 1 still, yeah he has his injury problems but so does Nlundulu if we're planning on him sign permanently next season. We have Dion-Vic who we've invested in to get us the goals at this level so I'd rather have an experienced international ST like JDB who has a great relationship with the fans/club to play backup/rotater at this level.
