During the Portuguese take-over & Nuno's reign I developed a grudging respect for them. Thoroughly undone since thankfully, despite me feeling hopeful for O'Neil.

November 2, 2025Nov 2 Pundit on R5L yesterday asked the question 'will Will Still still have a job tomorrow?'

November 7, 2025Nov 7 ps I get ambition but surely his best chance of being a PL manager next season is with Boro
November 7, 2025Nov 7 Plus Wolves seems a bit of a basket case. Boro one of the steadiest clubs out there.

When he gets sacked by Wolves he'll get it paid up at (say) £2mil a year. Easy decision especially as he probably wants to move nearer home. Going for the hat-trick. Relegated 2024; responsible for Luton's relegation 2025; probably relegated 2026!

November 8, 2025Nov 8 Norwich City have sacked head coach Liam Manning following a seventh successive home defeat, which has left them second bottom.

Well a great decision for Bristol. That's his last job in the championship unless he gets someone promoted from L1 one day, he'll be favourite for the MK Dons job next time its vacant.

Obviously being closer to home is a bonus, but the main driver will be Wolves being his club.

You're probably right, its a perfectly reasonable move even without financial considerations (but he'll undoubtedly be getting a pay rise and at least the same length of contract). The certainty that they'll be in the championship next season also makes it a relatively no-expectations first 6 months. I know he has to show he has a plan and to improve results, but his real job will start next season.

Glad to see them showing him the same sort of loyalty he showed his other clubs, ie. fuck all. Honestly some of these managers are as trigger-happy as the clubs that employ them. Edwards and Wolves is no different.
November 9, 2025Nov 9 I know Norwich quite well and in many respects they have it made - but still manage to fuck up. They have zero fully professional football teams in their catchment area to compete with for fans, a stadium full of ST holders every week, an excellent academy and loads of income from various streams and yet their board are incredibly tight fisted when it comes to buying players. Theres a fine line between running a club on a sound financial footing and starving the team of the quality needed to keep them in the higher income leagues and I suspect they are on the wrong side of the line. But they know/assume their fans will be loyal whatever happens and IMO the board are taking advantage/ taking the piss/taking their support for granted.
