The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

Well it might explain his absolute inability to prepare for them, whether we were attacking or defending.

Aye.

All those sideways and backwards free kicks that eventually led to absolutely nothing.

At least he will have been happy that we didn't put it into the net.

He's a legend at Blackpool

He'll not be able to handle it if they were ever to turn on him

It's certainly the biggest test of his ego to date

He'll have learnt f'call.

He reminds me of this clip:

one good thing about evatt going Blackpool is we'll probably end our winless run at Bloomfield Rd next season, we know he's a big game bottler

Ironic, some fantastic receipts there.

His comments re the set plays was interesting and in direct contrast to one of his earliest interviews with us. Then, he said something about goals from set plays almost cheating the fans and not being as exciting.

If he's learnt a bit of pragmatism and his ego's been knocked I can see him doing well there.  I'll be bloody fuming if they go up before we do though!

He hasn’t and they won’t.

Can already see Charles and Thomasson joining Evatt on loan in January.

Charles i doubt it.Don't think they got along at the end

They just spent over a mill on Dale Taylor, he'll have to get a tune out him first.

He'll get em out of trouble and heading towards the play offs 100%, their sqaud is decent. New manager bounce and galvanised support will do enough to get them out to trouble at the very least.

He does have a decent squad I agree and even Evatt shouldn’t fail to get them out of trouble but 15 points behind the play offs a mid table position is the best he’ll do and that’s assuming he can turn it around immediately. What the fans expectations are I don’t know but I get the feeling many of them think that he’s just going to walk in and turn it around but I’m not sure it’s going to be as easy as that.

Well my fiver went on

Manchester City

Coventry City

Blackpool

M K Dons

So he better get his finger out!!!.

The talk of play offs is already abound.

One good run gets you up there sniffing in this shit for brains division.

Looking forward to his touch line antics again... effin and blinding at refs and head butting captains... it'll lighten up some dull matches (as long as he's not doing it with us)... what are the odds on his first red card?

He fell out with Dion big style.

Mind you think Dion fell out with every fucker including the tea lady.

He could have pick up Banks up to help him touch the crossbar.

Can't see it with Charles but Vic on loan till end of season I could see

Normally, I'd say not a chance, given that he's not played for so long. No club would bring someone from the same league, with no evidence of match fitness.

Then I remembered this is Evatt.

How true. He’d possibly take Vic on loan, get little in return before he got injured again, and then offer him a three year deal, much to the bafflement of the Blackpool fans.

One thing you can guarantee. He'll still not be able to beat Wigan.

Talks easy it’s doing it that’s hard. I listened to Evatts interview and he said all the right things so I’m sure if I was a Pool fan I’d be excited and full of optimism. He reckons he’s really learned and is now the best manager he’s ever been, it’ll be front foot football and lots of in game tactical changes where needed, all the guff he spouted here so there’s no way he’s changed. He’d always been waiting for the right time for this job and that’s now he says so it’s all up from here. Really?
