Can't be right. Out of curiousity and boredom, I've just gone through the process of pre-booking a space in T3 Multi-Story from next Monday (10th) to Wednesday the week after (19th). Even the most expensive option, closest to the terminal, with somebody meeting you and parking the car for you is only £135.

Has he just abandoned the car there and not bothered pre-booking?

Just book it beforehand, works out about 15 quid a day.

If he hasn’t pre-booked, your mate is a clattering moron.

Yes

i ask some Manager

he said he should have Pre Booked

otherwise its £58 A DAY

It's a fiver for 2 mins at the pick up point, so yeah. £500 sounds right.

Be cheaper to get a Metro, some bing and hookers to nosh you off.

Fuck off, it's not that at Gatwick unless he's not pre booked.

I suspect he's a bit of a dick, and didn't pre-book. If not, serves him right really.

I always used to scoff at the peasants who use Jet Parks ... but I've done it for the last 3 years now.

Tried it once, utter wank. Waited ages for a bus to the airport and same on the way back. Thankfully it was just a weekend away with the missus so no kids to worry about but the bus was rammed both ways.

It's not much more for meet & greet or prebooked multistorey parking. Also sometimes you can get a good deal with a hotel with parking.

Either you were very unlucky or I've always been very lucky.  Never waited more than 10 mins for the bus either way and there's always been plenty of room on the bus.

Did it 3 times

One long wait for a coming home bus and never again

We use Nolans

About 45 each way and yes, the trains cheaper

Dont mind using that for hand luggage only

Nolan’s £65 now

That Manchester? Maybe it has improved but our experience was shite so have swerved it since.  We waited 20 mins for the bus on the way there and it took another 20 due to loads of stops in the car park then 20 minutes to get to T2 as traffic was murder and it was so full it took ages to get folk off at T3 then T1. Half an hour wait return but it was a late flight.

We have always used a hotel the night before with parking but that has become really expensive so now use M&G or multistorey pre book.

At the moment the trains are shit. If it isn’t strikes it’s every other one cancelled due to crewing issues. This means a journey standing until piccadilly.
perhaps the airport train from Blackpool ought not to stop at the Manchester stations to ensure those using it to the airport are more able to do so. There are plenty non-airport trains going to Piccadilly anyway.

You do have to wonder.

Although the charges to drop someone off at a fiver is taking the piss. Also to pick someone up is usually £12 unless you make them wait for you to arrive.

Or a taxi each way (from Bolton) I’d cheaper than most parking options.

£7 at Stansted the other week, when my mate dropped me off....well that's what he told me he was charged anyway 🙂

Bloke in our local does airport runs £80, I've used him twice recently, very reliable so I give him £100, well worth it

Flying from Leeds later in the week. It’s a bit of an arse to get to but much less hassle with parking and queueing for security.

Manchester seems to be getting worse in a lot of ways but if you pre book the multi storeys I always find them good value.

Serves you right for living near Luton 😉

It's a right pain to get to from here but if you save 100's then got to be worth it. That said a mate of mine from Hull avoids it like the plague but he's never given a proper reason why. He is a bit up his own arse though.
