  • You were on about wiping Evatts jizz from chins before ffs. Bullshit this and bullshit that. Like anyone that backs him is some kind of mentalist. Im a backer. I believe he will get it

  • Only an absolute cretin would think of sacking a manager who has done what Evatt has done

Bottom line is we and he are nowhere near as good as he see us and himself.    I get he’s got confidence in the way he wants us to play. But it’s bordering on arrogance now. He thinks this pass

Also the reebok looks to be a prime example of the soulless out of town retail park ground, lovely stuff.

It's not a bouncing, feral hotbed of noise and passion I'll give you that.

But it is a step up in aesthetic from all the other late 90s era 25k-30k identikit single tiered bowl type stadiums you won't have played at before.

No I have never watched any Doug Stanhope sets ?🙄

Should I be portraying some kind of nihilistic comedic theme through my posts or wha?

Just wondered why you chose that username. A hint of wit wouldn't go amiss.

Well I'd much rather live here than anywhere south of Lancaster, with having the lake district on the doorstep and not being crowded.

You can keep the overcrowded multicultural hellsacpe that is greater Manchester.

I can see why that bloke was made in the Royal Navy if this is what Carlisle has to offer😂

Carlisle is a place where junkies go to die.

I wouldn’t drop GT after his performance last night but Morley would create more. Totally agree with dropping Dan

I must’ve missed last night performance then😀

Thomason can pass a ball like no other in our team.

Carlisle town centre is a great day out, loads of pubs and eaterie's, last time we were there (with Athy Colls for a pre season friendly) there were 2 hen parties, one from South Shields and one from Scotland the town was buzzing

the town was buzzing

Expecting the win, take a draw though considering the week it’s been. Be some tired legs Saturday,

will need to come out fast and get It finished first 20 and kill the game off.

Why would you take a draw  against a team that as just come up? and have won one one game all season out of eleven matches?

Not sure what to make of Carlisle this season - all their games seem to have been low scoring affairs. No team has scored more than 2 against them, the most they've scored in a game is 2 and they've pulled off decent away draws at Stevenage and Lincoln. Hard to beat?

They have a few good players. Moxon is great on his day, Mellish is classy and they have the Czech giant Holy in goal. Slight worry is if they pick the hit-and-miss winger Ablade specifically for us as he has tons of pace - but generally their strikers aren't all that. TBH it's going to be all about how we play after what's been a tough week - if the players are half as exhausted as I am just watching our last two games they'll be f****d :)

Won one game all season, and you dont know what to make of them?

Cos we looked tired and had two tough games. My post says I expect a win, but will take a draw and 7/9 points isn’t a bad return on the three games IMO.

If the last three would have been against Pompey, Barnsley, Oxford, yes, but, with all due respect to both Carlisle and our next opponents Northampton, if we have any aspirations of the top two, these teams need to be beaten, especially at home.

I don’t disagree.

So far this season, portsmouth have failed to beat cheltenham. Bristol Rovers and stevenage

I bet theyve got their very own woolli whinging and moaning, too

Plus they only got a 98th minute winner last night. No game is easy and we need to grind out results with this lightweight squad

It's only lightweight because of injuries. Most squads in the league will go through similar patches of misfortune.

Not just injuries but making it much worse at the moment; we have a small squad and some in that squad shouldn’t be even in the National League (obviously an exaggeration before you jump to their defence) . But if we can keep the better players fit we can do this

There's another window to come too.

So you dont think that the we should be beating a team at home who have one one in eleven, not won in the last six? i do, and i suppose most "normal" Bolton fans will be expecting the same.  And strangely enough them moaning, whinging bookie bastards  also think the same, Bolton 1/2 on, Carlisle 11/2. Who would have thought!

We won last night, and you still moaned because "Thomason and Iredale could have got sent off", even though they didn't. When we win, you invariably claim it's purely down to good luck, but when we lose you never mention bad luck. That's not a "normal" mindset.

That wasnt a moan, that was a fact!  They where very lucky not to be sent off, especially Iredales blatant push. Weve lost 2 league games, we didnt have any bad luck, we was just  shit against Wigan and Reading! Explain our bad luck in them two games?

Dan Nlundulu could've scored a hat trick in the last 20 minutes if he hadn't been subbed. FACT.

It’s certainly a FACT that Nlundulu COULD’VE scored a hat-trick but just as much a FACT that it would’ve been highly unlikely.

Precisely. The only actual FACTS in this discourse are that Iredale and Thomason DIDN'T get sent off, and we WON. But they "COULD'VE" and we "COULD'VE" lost.

It is now athy to be fair but much has changed since the 70’s. The pubs were owned by the council and businesses tightly controlled by the local commerce chamber which wouldn’t allow competition. There were no supermarkets because local shops couldn’t compete and when I was selling my house all the state agents and solicitors charged the same prices.

If you weren’t a local people shunned you until they got to know you they were that peroquial. Thankfully it’s all changed now and I have to admit that Carlisle is much better for it.
