Dont know if there were any footage in Spring and Port Wine, they went to the match in the book.  

Also Burnden and BWFC were on Game For A Laugh , playing football on quadbikes or something.

Any one else every play on that pitch there ?

One half of the pitch sloped. 

Decent toe bung from just over the half way line , resulted in many a goal in the top corner. 

Not by me I must admit , I was preoccupied with hacking down anyone who showed a modicum of skill on the ball.

Many times. It was our 'home ground' for a few seasons. Same as you, re stopping others playing although I did manage a rare goal there once.

If you take the left hand fork, I think it is the right hand fork in this earlier picture.  Looking from the opposite way if you like.

Effectively, the part you're commenting on is just off this one, to the mid/top right.

Yes. Not far off the view from the old Platform 4 at Trinity St.

Lines arcing to the left off to Bury across the back of the Embankment. Others towards Manc.
