Shrewsbury Town (H)

We need to still believe Derby will not win their last two and win this comfortably which I think we will.

i would rest Santos until either POSH away if we still have a chance of automatic because we should be comfortable against these and Vale.

No coach at any level coaches to leave players unmarked on the edge of the penalty areas from corners. It’s lack of communication from the playing group and nothing to do with Evatt or coaches. Seems

agreed, it'll be shite odds though I bet. Both games us at 1/3(ish) I'd reckon

just under evens for the double on bet365

After losing their last 2 games the Shrews are now right in the relegation mix so will be totally up for it and we will have to match them for intensity. There wasn't a massive amount between the teams when we beat them at their place and we only took the lead when the usually reliable Marosi let the ball trickle through his legs and it was pretty nervy after that until late into stoppage time. On Saturday they were in it until they had a player sent off then got sunk by two late goals.

They defend obstinately and it could turn out to be a frustrating day for us if we're not at it - even more so if we let them get the first goal.

A draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world for them - could be argued they'd be more or less safe if they get it.

So rather than the lacklustre hoofball start we made against Pompey, this is definitely a game where we need to get the ball down and start playing from the off - get at them early doors and try to take a lead

I don't recall any of this lacklustre hoofball malarkey.

Ray of fucking sunshine that mon

Wow just wow.

Has that been copy and paste from the telegraph or independent?

More pearls of wisdom from the human Van de Graaff generator.

All that negativity- should be connected to the grid.

LMFAO  but just for the hell of it - what "negativity"?

Stop being aggressive you oddball

he has an opinion even though majority will disagree with him.

Here you go...see for yourself

Prior to their goal we had unchallenged possession at the back on 7 occasions.

4 were lumped forward in Bod's general direction bypassing the midfield (Santos 2, Toal and Jones 1 each)

2 were lumped forward down the wings bypassing the midfield

1 was a short pass wide to Ogbeta from Toal.

We only got it down and started to play after they scored - hence my comment about how we might start the next game.

Not been on their site yet but I will.

It may amuse you to know that when I went on the Pompey "True Blue Army" site prior to the game, they'd already started a thread for me - have a look - it's entitled "Wanderlust" :) One or two weren't overjoyed about my comments re the handball pen and how unlucky we were etc but I left on good terms and hope to go back when we're in the Championship with them next season.

Fucking hell

That from Lusty was worth it just to see Cheese call someone an oddball.

He doesn’t get to do that too often.

Yeah only once or twice a day 😉

Both Cheese and Lusty have entertainment value; cheese makes me laugh the most with his attacks when anyone criticises the tactics

It's a forum for opinions FFS. I see what I see and I don't give a flying f*** about anything else - especially jingoistic bullshit from the wilfully blind. But if someone makes a good point I'll happily take it on board.

I want us to win as much as anyone, but I'm not daft enough to underestimate the opposition - which I suspect the team might have done occasionally this season - and we do have flaws which we need to try to put right. I see no point whatsoever in going into every game saying we going to batter everyone we play especially as games can be won or lost by things beyond our control like wonder strikes against the run of play, freak goals, unforced errors or poor refereeing decisions.

We're Bolton Wanderers - we ain't perfect but we're gradually getting better and all we can hope for is that we bring our best game as often as possible - because when we do, we're a f****** joy to behold.

I think most first ten minutes in games where the stakes are so high are generally pretty scrappy as both teams try to find a rhythm.

Graham Souness spoke well on it last week.

Both teams came out the traps, it certainly wasn't the time for nice passing football.

They've scored 31 all season and had 2 shots on target at home to Wycombe.

We'll get chances, let's actually take a couple.

Does he want to embarrass himself on a second platform?

I'm sure he'd keep things brief 😃
