A lot of people assuming that line last night about 'seeking conversations with the Board' was to agree the terms of him leaving. I'm not so sure, it could just as easily be a conversation to ask Sharon etc to publicly back him and give those horrible, dimwit, gobshite fans a bollocking. Message from the chairman telling us all to pull together and support Evatt and the lads through a tricky time, blah blah

If that happens they may as well start planning for another season in league 2.

His stackable start to life as our manager 4 years ago was excused and rightly so at the time, as he's deserved a full season, but he was lucky to have had no fans in the staidums back then, he acknowledged previously that he probably would have been sacked under normal conditions.

But this is Evatt 5 seasons into his job, he's had unconditional support from everybody and financially backed to the fullest, yet he's blaming supporters for the reason his team is "unrecognisable"

He's lost it completely now. It's now up to the board to do the right thing and end things before it becomes real ugly.

Evatt is a human being at the end of the day, he needs to save himself for his own mental health, shake hands and move on. It's only going to get worse for all parties.

Thank you Evatt, but time to move on now.

Many of us could get so, so close to completing the 92 if that happened, tbf.

I'd say anyone who did Spurs and Brentford have lost them off their count since they moved, and will lose Everton.

Purists have some mad rules about not counting unless its your own team, 0-0's not counting, losing grounds off your count that have even minor alterations to stands etc. Fuck that!

I feel like I've never been to Bloomfield Road because its unrecognisable to when I went.  Last visit was to stand on the terrace at the side, I went about 10 times in 80s and 90s.  Its a 100% new ground now on the same site, I'm kidding myself if I say I've been to that ground.  And I know I'll never go there, CBA with the faux-rivalry and hassle just to watch a game of L1 footy.  Same would be said of Deepdale pre-all seater, but I've been to the "new" ground a couple of times, and when we play PNE we don't pretend its a massive rivalry so I'd be happy to go there again, hopefully in championship.

Current grounds and own team only are fair enough for me

It takes 1 twerk in formation paired with a solid performance and we're turning this titanic around, 1 game at a time

Current grounds yes, but what if you have the misfortune of supporting someone like Everton though who are barred from relegation and never playing down the leagues? 😃

I'm a bit like that with Salford, only time I've been there they played in orange and it only had one small stand the rest was fields, but my app counts it as a visit and now it's within the 92!

We need to draw them in a cup. And we need to play Notts County as well, been a few times but not involving us.

Ive been 2 or 3 times to County, but has it been totally rebuilt?

Tough shit, wait for the cup draws!

Think so, looks pretty smart in there now, built a couple of really decent fanzone/Boxpark type places next to it as well.

Me too.  The 6-1 cup defeat, the play off defeat under Phil Neal, Owen Coyle winner I think.  All 3 great away followings and all midweek, no idea when we last played there on a Saturday.

Definitely 3 of the 4 stands rebuilt, they were all terraces upto about 1990, not sure if main stand is new, I'd guess it is.

I might get proven wrong here, but reckon Evatt will stick it out, he's said he doesn't want this as his legacy.

I'm hoping he does,  I'm hoping he looks at the team and rejig, we have some cracking players but this current game plan doesn't work.  . Once we're stable then bring back the pretty football that created 100+ goals last year.

We've got a team that will walk into any other team, as shown by fringe players leaving and doing just that.

Come Saturday ill be behind the lads, worth having one thread without any negativity?

Some might struggle with this..

I would LOVE him to turn it around, but I just can't see it happening - and I'm a 'happy clapper'. We'd have to go on a seriously impressive run. I'd still give him to game 10 personally (because I'm a soft cunt, and he's got previous for turning things around), but the entirely understandable fan reaction to Wembley and this awful start have probably made his position untenable regardless.

We got dicked 0-4 by Wigan and 1-3 by Carlisle at home early days last season, but were still thereabouts at the end of the campaign, despite a horrendous injury list - but the utter ineptness of these back-to-back home performances is just too intense.

Horribly sad end.

Saturday morning about 10ish was conducting the annual clean of the front window.....

(@Gonzo used to pay some stedhead £8 every 2 weeks to wipe the dirt onto my sills. Never had change and blocked out the sunlight when he collected his tenner and drove off in his brand new Ford Ranger👀)

.........I said good morning to a couple of chaps walking past from the direction of the Academy

Hadn't clocked it at first but one was Ian Evatt, baseball cap on a la Klopp look.

I said good luck today and I've got faith in you Ian we can do this clenched my fist and said lets ave it usual fan type bull he probably here's or maybe not at the moment. I'm so two faced in those situations.

He gave me a very grateful thank you, thumbs up, smiled and walked on I presume down to the ground.

Got pelters down Naam Ploy you should have told him to drop suchabody, do this do that etc.

I wanted him out after Wembley and then after the Exeter pathetic debacle and then a few days pass and I'm back to the usual we've done okay we're improving.

This looks broken though

That 4th goal would get most managers the boot.

It is a sad end, was thinking this morning how good it has felt for a few years to know we've got steady management in place not hiring and firing every few months like some clubs. Just hope we're not about to jump into that kind of thing now.

What’s all this about his mental health? Has something been announced that I have missed?

He's touched upon it himself in previous conversations.

It's also his recent statements and body language- certainly feeling the pressure; becoming a bit defensive.

I wonder if he has the ability to switch off from it all and clear his head.
