Stupid - Definitely but is the ban harsh ? More than double that you can get for a leg breaking tackle. Or is it reasonable if they want to 'Kick it Out' ? 

I'm waiting for Essex police to turn up and invite him for an interview.

The level of punishment is way too harsh for me. 

Had Bentancur had previous then yes a large fine and a ban makes sense.

Spurs should be allowed to deal with this internally.

Jonathan Liew was asked his opinion on this on the Guardian Weekly podcast. He's half Asian I think so clearly targeted. 

Basically saying yep throw the book at him. But later made a comment that when folk make the same lazy stereotypes (as Bentancur) about him  e.g. being good at maths, Liew finds it "annoying". No more than that.

So he's more offended on behalf of Son than when he receives the same treatment.

Exactly. Different times though. Wouldn't be surprised if bans come along for farting during a game. Not only potentially making things less than pleasant for anyone close by but bringing the game into disrepute for both ill manners and adding to greenhouse gases.

Feel its harsh, foreign footballer makes a comment about a team mate on a foreign tv channel months ago. 

Club gets him to apologise, guys a fool that's it. 

If he did it on the football pitch it's warranted,  imo.
