  • Never understand why the insults start when somebody has a different opinion..🤷‍♂️ Been a season ticket holder since I was a schoolboy (back in the 70’s) and I didn’t think it was THAT cold tonig

  • I know he's a bit of plonker but as a fellow man, I can't not feel sorry for the bloke. His head will be up his arse.  I hope it comes to an end soon and he can fuck off on holiday somewhere

We're desperate for a proper DM, stop the attacks before they get to our box.

Sheehan and Morley are too similar

Tommo seems to think it's his role to just go around fouling people.

541 Didnt work, perhaps it's just a stop gap until this new left back is ready and a new striker comes in. 4231 is my preferred solution.

Nothing will work until we’ve got a solid spine to the team…. Proper CD, proper CDM and a proper physical hold up win headers CF.  It’s not rocket science but Evatt things he doesn’t need any of the above.  Inevitably it’ll cost him is job.

You honestly  think we can beat  any of those teams on current form let’s hear it ? Cambridge are bottom of that but keep happy clapping 👏 pleb I doubt you  actually go or went tonight otherwise you wouldn’t of been so quick with the info instead of freezing your bollocks off

You asked who was worse than us at the moment, and he’s given you statistical proof.

You’ve then accused him of not being there because he’s able to reply so quickly…… yet he was replying to your original post.

And relegation is based on a full season. It doesn’t get decided today based on who you think are the 3 worst teams.

He ain’t happy clapping by giving you stats.

A quality 10k though

Pretty supportive almost to the death

Play faster and try to get forward and have shots and the fans will be more supportive. Who'd have thought it....

Thought last night was positive for 70 minutes.

Whilst Charlton weren’t a great team, I think it’s unfair to say we played better because they were poor. We imposed ourselves and made them look poor. At times, we looked more like last seasons team.

We needed a Dion to finish that game off earlier. As many have said, at 1-1 it was painfully obvious how the game would finish. Confidence is shot.

No idea where this 3 games for Evatt rumour has come from. It may be true, but I’m struggling to imagine Sharon would ever speak on those terms to him or then decide to tell people knowing it would get out.

No idea what happens next. Whilst we’ve too many points to really worry about going down, I do fear a bottom half finish if something doesn’t change soon. Tough fixtures to come.

I live in Horwich and got home at 10 past 10 so had plenty of time to find the info to counter your over-negative posts.

Shut up pleb 😂

Were you at the same match as me? I thought we bossed it for 70 mins..

Aye

I don't debate any of the numbers

I don't think we were unlucky

We don't score enough when on top and concede too easily when put under pressure

It happens too often and it's been a massive problem this season that try as he might IE can't resolve and it's getting worse/more frequent

We were lucky to finish with ten men because of GT and Matete, I'll admit that

I would imagine those stats are typical for the majority of our games this season.

Maybe a few more shots and more on target.

Same outcome unfortunately 😕

Aye here are the stats from Saturday which don't show how woeful our defending was or that we were lucky to come away with a point via an injury time own goal

I didn't come away from that thinking we bossed it

Ignoring the stats surely anyone who has been to a good amount of games this season could see that yesterday’s set up and performance was light years ahead of a lot of the dross served up this season?

I know it’s a results business and we still ended up losing but atleast we there was evidence of structure, formation, control, link up between players.

Mixed feelings after last night.

I was really hoping that selection and formation would get us a win.

For a good 70 minutes I was impressed with it. Players looked more comfortable, we looked more solid, the wide players attacked and defended well. 1-0 would have been perfect.

Randall looked better, pleased he got a goal.

The crowd were great.

That’s were the positives end.

How much of that was down to a poor opposition? Which we then went on to lose to.

We couldn’t make the same impact subs Charlton did.

Lucky to finish the game with 11 men.

And the big one for me, 8 points from 24 and 2 of those wins were fortunate (Lincoln -10 men/Exeter-2 late goals after playing crap)

I’m there Saturday, but I really can’t see us getting anything.

8 game form table has us in 18th

Is there a ‘fckn bottlers’ percentage bar on there anywhere?

A tactical problem. Our midfield looked far more coherent today with 5 or more players occupying it at times, but …our defence didn’t struggle for lack of size as much as for lack of organisation.

And if we have a back 3 it takes plenty of midfield involvement in the defensive structure which wasn’t quite there leaving defenders stranded. Did we sacrifice defensive cover for midfield dominance? I suspect not as they tracked back and that it was simply poor organisation. They tracked back but didn’t seem to know where to be or what to do when they got there.

I thought Southwood should have come off his line to claim or punch the cross for their first (as did Johnston!) and their second was a combination of poor defending and bad luck.

I think Matete wants out with behaviour like that.

From the pre match comments I logically thought the change in formation would be to a diamond 442 to try to get control of midfield and have 4 at the back concentrating on defending.

The 4 in midfield part worked nicely, but the 5 at the back is a shambles. Really it's 3 at the back as the wingbacks don't cut out crosses and then the work to clear the ball away always seems to fall to the middle CB.

What is he trying to achieve by playing 5 at the back every game other than getting the sack? Why not try something different like 4 at the back in a normal formation (442 or 433)?

As others have said the performance on the ball was better last night but the defensive side of our game is a shambles and nothing is being done to address it.

He still let it slip in his post-match last night, looking down his nose at Charlton's approach. It's Russell Martin levels of doubling down on fanciful.

I read last night that we've been given 71 yellow cards in our 26 games, the most in the league. That a team as weak as piss like us has had that many totally lays bare our issues.

We deserved more than we got last night 100%. But that is just typical of a team being down on their luck and things going against you

he’s right with what he said the other week. He is not responsible for everything that goes wrong. The players need to take that too and he can’t legislate for Forrester ducking under a ball.

However those individual mistakes are greatly overwhelmed by the collective issues such as players seemingly being unable to defend as a unit. Conceding 2 goals a game, not creating enough chances to win a game, making subs too late or not reacting quickly enough to the opposition changes. All of those things are driven by and decided by him.

so once you strip away all the noise, his sound bites, his “conduct” etc etc it just boils down to performance levels and results and there’s a big argument to say those haven’t been good enough for over a year now. The rot started around Jan last year and he simply hasn’t been good enough to identify why and change it. Our current position and recent results are a realisation of that

Couldn't be arsed posting last night

Overall it was much better than Saturday.Thought we started slowly but gradually got on top.Two very poor goals to give away.Much better from Randell. On the crowd no negative shouts really except at full time

Mom schon

Just get rid and lets start again next year FFS.

Should have won. Charlton were pretty shit but still managed to beat us. First half wasn't too bad. Second half we played pretty well until their equaliser. Not good enough though.

And I'd be amazed if there was actually over 10,000 on tonight.

No disagreement on that.

Same defensive failures though.

Individual errors, and barely a tackle from those in front.

Not making the most of any decent attacking play neither.

I reckon this will be the most concerning part of last night for Sharon and the board. Granted most weeknight games will be less, due to now being on sky, but I’d bet that is at least 3k lower than our previous lowest.

Loss of footfall is terrible for business and an indication of what’s to come with season ticket renewals. It’ll be the business side of it that pushes her hand more than the football side (albeit granted they’re intrinsically linked) in my opinion.

It was certainly pretty sparse looking across from West Upper. Filled up a little bit in five mins before KO but you'd be not far off with that number. Went for a brew and a pasty at HT and walked straight to both tills
