First home match for SS and his team.

It will be interesting to see what if any changes are made by SS after he has had a week to work with the players.

Crawley gave Wrexham a game on Saturday and were only beaten by a 95th minute winner. Although they are in the bottom four it won’t be as easy as some folk think or hope it will be.

A scrappy 3-2 victory

Santos’s form this season has been indifferent to say the least (the Oxford game lives rent free in his head & he needs a move away ) and explains our poor defensive record because if he isn’t doing the business we are in trouble  .

As for Johnston he is less affected by Santos ‘s absence , is our only permanent left footed  centre back but again lacks physicality & has not regained his pre-injury form.

Big job for Schumacher to sort out that defence , despite our lack of a hold up forward we have still scored enough goals to be higher up the league.

 

 

Disagree. Santos on form and committed is one thing, but his attitude and form has left him way behind the others in the pecking order. I'd only consider bringing him back in if he seems like he's interested again

Odd thing for me is that Santos should be doing all he can to be starting matches and getting himself in the shop window (free agent section).

He would surely be able to command a better wage / signing on fee if he’s had a cracking second half of the season, compared to not playing at all for 5 months and his last few games in January being average.

I didn’t suggest bringing him back . Just pointing out on his day best defender we have , but that ship has sailed . He will be hard to replace quality wise.

What makes you think that ship has sailed? He'll be back playing for us again in the next couple of weeks.

The defending as a whole this season hasn’t been any where near where it was and needed to be.

I'm not convinced he'll play again for us neither- especially if the sulking comments were accurate.
