Pubs and Pints.

1. What's the best pub you've ever been in?

2. Tell me what's good about your local and how much is a pint.

3. What sticks out as your best pint moment. After the birth of a child? Celebrating promotion? Curing a hangover?

For me.

1 .A pub I found in Berlin. Was snowing outside on a dark Winters Sunday night.  Fires were roaring and the atmosphere was ace. Proper cozy. Love it.

2. Absolutely love my local.  Sunday afternoon is perfect. Busy and atmospheric but not rammed like a Saturday tea. Decent Sports/Vaults ares for the drinkers. £4.80 for Moretti, £4.20 for driving lager.

3. Me and our call a life saving pint a 'Yeovil'. As we'd been up all night in Yeovil after our 2-2 draw. The drive home was probably the most horrendous car journeys I've ever had. We got in the Golden Eagle and words cannot describe how good that pint was. Proper Terry Waite tackle.

What was the name of that pop up pub opposite Tiggi's when we were at Burnden ?

International Bar, had bar staff in bikinis, the place was on fire last week (I think).

No, not actually on Nelson’s Square. Opposite, I mean right opposite that tobacco shop and the hairdressers.

A little tiny place. Definitely no bikini clad bar staff. They were knocking Stella out for next to nowt.

Bugger me it is. I do apologise. I didn’t think it was that.

I thought it was just a pre match place.

😁No probs. The bar staff wore Budweiser branded swimsuits, always started in there on a Fri and Sat night.

Just bobbed in my local for a cheeky bank holiday pint.

£2.65 a pint for Monday club.

Can't grumble at that.

i never drink on a monday, it's the one guideline I try to live to that keeps me from thinking i'm a proper piss tank

but as i was knackered from saturdays boozing, I didn't drink yesterday and now feel like I've missed out on a bank holiday booze

so i'm going to get some cans in to make up for it later and convince myself i want to watch palace v forest whilst supping them

will definitely regret it in the morning

I'm at the Trafford Centre at the minute going to need a few drinks to recover when I get home. No pubs near me any more so it'll be home measure rum and pepsi

Flying Horse is good. Get yourself to the Baum next time, mind you it's a bit of a walk. Rochdale's surprisingly good for a pub crawl.

Lived and worked in Rochdale for half my life, improved a fair bit over last couple of years pub wise, they do a 'Dale trail' thing over Easter, across about 10 pubs in the town. Baum always been my favourite, though Flying Horse runs it close. Couple of new micros, one called Our Gracie's is pretty good.

Why would you go to the Trafford Centre ??

It must be a stressful experience as you now need a few drinks , therefore dont ever go there.

I have never been in my life , and never will , its a shopping mall .

Mini me wanted to go to Legoland discovery centre for bank holiday. TBF given my stupid brain anywhere with people is a stressful experience. He had a blast so it was worth the stress, but still had a rum and pepsi once he'd gone to bed.

Don't mind it during the week when it's quiet but on weekends it's a hellscape.

signed up for this 6 week program at the gym - like a transformation thing to get lean

proper calorie and protein and nutrition macro counting and all that all unique to you, based on your height, weight, bmi etc - guy who runs it reckons it's pretty fucking strict

waiting on a start date

so that should be fun, and an excuse to knock the booze on the head

even though I'm off for a week at end of the month so that will probaby fuck things all right up
