Our fans don't get a reputation like that or negative comments like that for being well behaved, which is a shame. There was a stat out the other day that we had the most banning orders in the EFL? Something I think we should work on as a fanbase

Nobody seemed to be causing much trouble yesterday. Friendly enough & a few good pubs in Leith that would have had a nice unexpected cash boost. Chatting to some of the folk singing the sectarian shite, friendly enough lads. Just gormless muppets who probably couldn’t tell you who the Pope is. Turning up to Scotland and singing that shite is just embarrassing.

Same people who got pissed of about players taking the knee because it brought politics into football 🙄

A few brief highlights (once you get through the first minute of pre-kick off stuff)…

We can start by talking to those that we go to games with if they need a talking too, I've had difficult conversations with people I used to call friends who I had to talk to about why their racist language wasn't acceptable. I distance myself from them now and don't speak to them as I don't want to get in trouble when I'm on a night out with any of them. "Show me your friends and I'll show you who you are" springs to mind. We can report anything we see if hear to stewards, we can have those difficult conversations. I'm sure there's more too

I've watched Bolton across every inch of England and across Europe and have never ever heard anyone shout anything racist during a football match.

That's really good, I know it's all the fans and usually it's the minority of fans that cause these issues, but unfortunately I've been sat in the family stand and been grateful my very young son wasn't there with me as the language was horrendous.

Oh dear. Coz Leith is a place of beauty. I'd not walk 500 miles to get there.

You realise how many Michelin starred restaurants are in Leith, don’t you?

I had words with someone at an away game last season (can’t remember which  one) when they called one of their players a jungle bunny or summat similar. Unfortunately we’re always going to have muppets, and the FTP element was always going to be likely yesterday but that’s just the law of averages with so many Rangers try-hards. Glad those who went had a good day anyroad. And I can very much relate to the hangovers kicking in by about the 60 minute mark 😂

3 or 4 seasons back in NSL, during a particularly inept refereeing performance, after yet another awful decision against us an exasperated voice shouted "fucking hell ref, play the white man ".

After a moment's silence there was loads of laughter......it wasn't racism but that's the closest i've heard in years.

If you’re offended by bad language, I don’t think going out in public is your thing.

Effing and jeffing in the family stand is a cunts move IMO. Go for it elsewhere in the ground and anyone complaining can get to fuck.

Exactly, it’s 100% offensive in a designated family zone.

Anywhere else and we’ve all had our own sons with us when someone has come out with a gobful and we’ll look at each other knowingly, young ‘un giggling at the sweary man.

Do you not remember the ‘town full of P***s’ chant when we’d play Blackburn ?

Things have got a lot better tbf. We’ve got a great fan base on the whole.

But sectarianism from both sides is a form of racism I’d say. Mostly just gormless morons who don’t know their history.

How long ago was that though?

I heard Wigan singing it to us about 10 years ago but not heard it for ages.

Singing about the pope to wind hibs fans up isn't racist for me.

And no I've never heard us sing town full of pakis tbf.

Would be a bit rich if we did.

I've heard TFOP sang against us but not us singing it.

But singing stuff about the pope is cringe as fuck.

It's an uncomfortable fact that we have got a SHIT LOAD of racist morons in our fan base.

I've read the article but can't see anything about racism in it

Hibs' fans took the bait by booing the 1st rendition of GSTK, & what followed was inevitable. Maybe they should just stick to attacking families at family fun days !!
