Parking and Traffic at the match.

Deserves its own thread.

Fuck all that grass off and put more parking on there.

Fuck that central reservation off and let the arena and Scott's traffic turn right.

Get an exit at the back of the hotel carpark on to De Havilland way.

Bosh.

Needs a second junction off the motorway near the services, with a road conected to north side of Middlebrook near, Next.

  • Make it a slip lane to the m61 for season ticket holders for longer than 25 years then.  Like when Homer joined the stonecutters.

I know it’s possibly still a bit of a trek from your seat @gonzo, but have you had a look at getting a parking pass on the disabled car park immediately behind the North Stand? Might even be able to u

It’s now £6.20 for 15 minutes express pick up at T2 and if you forget to pay online it becomes £100.

Absolute twats. The only thing that winds me up more is hospital parking. And they're usually private companies that enforce the charges, so the hospital gets nowt. How the fuck did we let this happen?

My daughter works at Wigan infirmary and she has to park in the town centre car park (and pay), then either walk to the hospital or wait for the shuttle bus

It really is a fucking disgrace. I'm amazed people are more bothered about immigrants than this blatant unavoidable fucking rip off that has no positive effect on society whatsoever. Literally nobody benefits from it apart from the company that puts the fucking signs up. WHY THE FUCK DO WE NEED TO CHARGE PEOPLE FOR PARKING AT A FUCKING HOSPITAL??? It blows my mind.

Ah. Airport parking charges are an absolute fucking disgrace. It's about 4 quid at Manchester just to to pick someone up, even if it literally takes 2 minutes. Probably more now. Fucking thieving cunts.

We get a taxi to airport, the drop off charge is more than the taxi fare. There is a free drop off point but taxis can only go there once a day and you get piss wet if it is raining

When I used to live round that way Hull Royal Infirmary hiked it's prices as its walking distance into the city centre

People were parking there and walking to work as it was cheaper than city centre car parks and then people visiting the place couldn't get spaces

If you were visiting regularly you could ask on the ward and you could get a pass at a much reduced rate

That happened to me when our Loft was here in the summer. I hadn't seen any notices about paying on line so I didn't. Next thing, fine so I saw my arse and told my daughter. Unsurprisingly she had no sympathy, we got it reduced to 60 though. It's right moey maker if have to you pay.

You can get a 7 day ticket for I think £20 which is still wrong.

It is, seeing as how nobody is there just having a look round, or for the shopping, and certainly not for that shit pub the Royal Soereign. Fuck me what a dive.

So the firm that runs the parking at the Reebok... do they get all the cash and pay a fee to the club?

Or t'other way round?

Didn't greasy Ken sell them off so the club don't actually own the carparks?

Or is that a wild myth in the madness of them times?

All money paid on a matchday goes to Wanderers, whilst Parking Eye make a profit from those cases which result in a fine.

That article is a few years old now, but I can't find anything more up to date.

What Cheese posted is still the case.

Has anyone ever been charged for parking at the station?

Sure they get money for you paying with the app as well @gonzo

Don't think there's parking cameras there pal.

If you've not had a ticket I reckon your good.

Luton Airport drop off has just gone up from £5 to £7 for drop off/pick up, you get to idle for 5 minutes for that, then it starts increasing by £1 for every minute above and beyond the 5 minutes.

Sadly, it's just the way it is these days, and another cost to factor in

Hospital staff, not being able to park free of charge at their place of work is disgraceful.

Midwives have to pay for a license to work as well. Shambles of a system.
