Cheers pal. Two blokes talking sense. You don't see that as often as you used to.

Met Vernon Kay a few times around the club . He really is a decent bloke.  Also the interview he did with Posh spice after we had beat leicester , Boro, Liverpool and drew at Leeds , and presented her with a Baby Wanderers kit for Brooklyn so he could have a full kit of the Prem Leaders , should guarantee him legendary status in my eyes !

With Randall it's just been completely nothing. Like genuinely nothing about him whatsoever.

I want it to work for him but its nearly been a year and he's not even been injured or anything like that. He's weak, not really got any pace. Is the same with his shooting, weak and always on the floor. He doesn't even create or goes past players. Just nothing.

I agree .

The old man thinks there is an intelligent player in there that needs a 20 game run to prove everyone wrong . id rather a kid whose chomping at the bit for a appearance or two . Worst player since Steve Elliott , including Cid.

David Ngog? Marvin Sordell? Keith Andrew’s on £30k a week on a 3 year contract?

No Idea about Kieth Andrews contact or wages but he took some of the best penalties Ive seen for us , Julian Dix style.

And so you should - he played all his early Swedish career in midfield and later at Feyenoord, Brondby and Toulouse and despite being a playmaker scored more goals per game from midfield than he ever did for us. I never understood why Megson gave him the number 9 shirt. Worse still he was heavily criticised by many for being a shit centre forward - totally not his position.

None of those in the Premier League.

He clearly had some ability, but like so many, lacked that physical resilience.

He was better up front for us.

Gale has shown glimpses, he definitely has the ability & pace. The finish he put in last weekend was a cut above this level. If we can get him going like he was against Wigan at home then we’ll be in for a treat because he was electric that day his end product was ruthless on the day. He’s not as strong on the ball as Dapo but he may be quicker & has the similar trait of making the yard to get a good shot or cross off which will always have teams worrying about him. Him being back on the other wing should also bring the best back out of Duberry too taking some of the pressure off of him, realistically them two lads on the wing should be killing teams in away matches where teams are more likely to take it to us leaving space in behind on the transitions.

Except when we loaned Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea & he was a goal machine Elmander sulked like fck.

I recall one goal at t'Reebok nine players ran to Sturridge to celebrate & one went nowhere near. Guess which.

Absolutely vile weather that day, I seem to remember some rascals on here trying to convince people that the game had been postponed not long before ko!

Driving down there were multiple occasions where we drove through a flood and were basically driving blind for a second or two, whilst games were being called off all over the place - I was sure it would be off.

Shit game, don’t remember the penalties (so Andrews can still fuck off if that was one of his better contributions), do remember how bad we were at the back and we left at 5-2, only to hear in the car on the way back that it ended 5-4. Genuinely pleased we didn’t get back to 5-5 - if we’d have missed it after going through all that it would have just put the cherry on top.

He was with us for three years at the end of his career but only played about 20 games until Spearing arrived and then spent the rest of his contract out on loan. I was really disappointed in him as I knew he was a good player- just not for us.

Andrews is one of the few players who is similarly disliked by Wolves, Bolton and Blackburn fans alike

Whilst I agree he bought some shite , as every manager ever has done , he also brought in Petrov, Wilshere , Sturridge, Holden , Eagles ,  and he got bent over by McKay for Sordell . The problem was that Allardyce made a profit on deals , the board then shit them selves and spunked all the money on Megson & Coyle  to fuck around with .

Oh the what if , they had backed allardyce with the same money .

... & Sordell was a compensation prize for so very nearly getting Wilfried Zaha.

He was a shite manager & should have been shown the door season end after the Stoke semi-final but he did spot some talent.
