Wycombe Wanderers (A)

Another team that are having a fruit salad season - proper mixed bag of results although their surprise loss to Plymouth on Tuesday brought a 12 game unbeaten run to an end - a run that included a lot of draws so they are mid table.
Another conundrum for SS to solve. I think Duff sets them up to be a “hard to beat” team, usually 4231, rather than an attacking force although they are strong on the right with Jack Grimmer at the back and the dangerous Fred Onyedinma ahead of him.

If people don’t see what Forrs brings it is beyond belief. My opinion as we all have them. He is the most intelligent player in the squad. He chases every lost ball and wins the ball back more than most. He hasn’t been used anywhere near enough. Randell mcatits have been selected in front of him, he scores he wins possession he runs his bollocks off. He reminds me of Kieron Lee another who never got the credit he deserved. Surely people can see he is 1 step in front of the squad in terms of reading the game. Fuck it send him back in Jan and rotate it between the other so called number 10’s. If he was played as a 9 would he better than our currant mon. Don’t forget our current no 9 cannot trap a bag ?.

I think he's got bags on energy and a nice touch but apart from Wigan he's not really contributed much regarding goals and assists I don't think, which is what he's there for.

He's not a winger and a not a 10 and I'm not sure he can play a 9.

Hope it clicks for the lad, he's good at buzzing about around Burstow but needs affect the game more for me.

So, what is he? A cricketer? Our test team could do with some help!

He’s not a winger but he certainly is a forward. In my opinion, he was more effective up front than Burstow, on Saturday.

He’s struggling to cement a place at the moment. However, I think he’s a very similar player to Burstow and given the latters current run of form, is worthy of consideration to replace him.

He's shown what he's about in the EFL cup games

Just not in the league much

It’s a funny one with the forwards. Other than Burstow’s miss at Northampton and Tutu’s miss against Bradford - I’m struggling to recall having my head in my hands thinking how’s he not put that away.

I don’t think we can criticise them for their finishing. A lot of the goals we have scored have been really good finishes.

While we do create lots of chances, they aren’t really good ones, so I have a little bit of sympathy for our forwards.

I think that’s why we’ve heard a lot this week about crosses, final ball into the box etc, because if that improves I think all our forwards will benefit.

I like Forss as a forward (wide interpretation - 9,10, supporting, inside forward) not a winger. Not that we’ve seen it in full effect yet (Wigan and cup games aside) but I think he’s a great finisher - improve his service we’ll see a better player.

Not a winger, not a 10 and not an out and out striker, more of a forward who likes to drift.

Think that was explained in my post as well yours.

He needs to start creating stuff.

Christie.     Toal.   Johnston.  Conway

       ACD.          Dempsey.      Gale

                          Burstow

Tough one to call this.

I think there’s 5 nailed on; TSL, Toal, Johnston, Conway, ACD.

3 who are more than likely; Sheehan, Christie, Burstow

The other 3 positions could go any way. For me it’s a toss up between Erhahon or Simons.

Same with Dempsey/Forss depending on how solid he wants to make that midfield.

Then Tutu or Gale. Despite me banging the drum for Tutu (I don’t need to say anymore, he’s a very valid option, especially away) Gale could get us off to a flyer and Tutu could tighten things up when needed. Again it depends how solid SS wants to make it from the off.

I look forward to @royal white’s posts in this thread 👀

Tutu @ RB

Can’t argue with that - Decisions that make sense. Tutu’s contribution from there Saturday was pivotal and this is where SS saw him contributing at the beginning of the season (It’s bad news for Cogley). And we all knew Dalby would get a chance over these festive fixtures. It’s come early. Let’s hope we give him some good service and he takes his chance(s)

Wingers on their 'right' sides?

Also @masi 51, is Tutu allowed to play there? :D

Only if he’s a sub 😂

I don’t think it will be.

ACD on right

Gale on left.

He’ll want a bit of “natural” width from Tutu and Conway overlapping

Your toss up between erhahon and simons was wrong 😉

Cryptic 🤔

I can’t work out whether that’s

1 - Sheehan/Simons

2- Simons/Erhahon

3 - A different two that involves Dempsey/Morley, to make room for Forss at 10.

Maybe this time it's duff info aimed to weed out the mole (McAtee) :)

I hope it is because it means we go more direct which should suit us against Wycombe and to be fair I think Nathan could with a rest. I’d go Dalby supported by Forss up top.

What about Mason?

If someone really is leaking team news, get the cunt out. And shame on any so-called "fan" for sharing it online.
