Ah yeah looks that way. Think I might have been the 51st min penalty that we came upstairs for the goal then back down to resume our pints Had some goalfests there actually when you think about it Quote

Always think Peterborough or good attacking but can not defend, so especially under Evatt it really was goals galore. Quote

Lostock Whites Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) As good as form as they are in, I couldn't think of a better game for our attackers to get goals in and start building back some form after quit frankly a horrendous display at the top of the pitch. When was the last time any of Burstow, Forss, Dalby, Cissoko and ACD get a goal? Goals have completely dried up. Peterborough are the completely opposite of the sides we've played recently, playing attacking, possession based football and been in form. And that to me gives me much more confidence than say a Mansfield or Doncaster. Im more worried playing a poor team who haven't won in 5 than a good team that's won their last 5 at the moment. Regardless our team is much better than theirs and the spaces will be there. Gotta start being much more ruthless now. Edited January 9 by Lostock Whites Quote
Dr. Feelgood Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Will he play Randall ... just to ask why Evatt fancied him so much ? Quote

deeane Koontz Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hope it isn't another game where SS is whining about them having men behind the ball. When we are making a bunch of unnecessary passes which allows them to get more men behind the ball. 4-2 Bolton Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Just arrived in Peterborough. Bloomin’ cold but is pissing it down which is probably good news for the temperature of the pitch. Sad to report the closure of one of the better boozers Quote

Regardless our team is much better than theirs and the spaces will be there. Gotta start being much more ruthless now. Burstow, Forss and Dalby haven't had a chance/shot on target for ages never mind a goal, normally when strikers hit a dry spell they are advised to keep getting in the positions, keep having efforts on goal etc, but even that looks a long way off. Clearly its not all their doing and its partly about the way we play - not easy to put right with the same personnel. So we rely on the wingers and attacking midfielders to nick an odd goal, it just feels like we are miles off scoring twice in an away game. On Peterboro, they are on a good run but given that they are associated with goals (for and against), their home games have been surprisingly low scoring recently, presumably down to the new manager. Last 5 home games incl FA Cup v Barnsley they've only scored 2 once. Two nils and two 1's. We aren't keeping a clean sheet, assuming we're facing 11 men, so 1-1 has to be the most optimistic we can be. Hard to envisage any other positive scoreline currently. Quote

Burstow was close twice last game, with one disallowed for fuck all tbf. Just hope he bags a couple tomorrow to get him and us going again. Quote

The goal that was disallowed was from a corner not even open play . Dalby is the same at least give them something then if they miss they can be slagged off till then not there fault Edited January 9 by Farnywhite Quote

Check out Tap n Tandoor for a great curry and footy on multiple tvs... though a man as well travelled as yaself will already know of it am sure Quote
