I would follow Europe and basically not have festive games.

My brother and nephew are coming over from Lincoln for their 5th match since Wycombe.  None of our lot are missing it, what else is there to do at 12pm on a Sunday?  And coming home in daylight too!

I'd rather it was at 3pm, but of all the excuses to miss a game, unless there's genuine reasons, this is a 1st world problem.  Why would a regular fan miss a home game on a Sunday afternoon if they can get there?

Irony does not always come over well does it ? My point is that the old fashioned way of playing 2 games in three days was dumped because of player welfare, but 11 games in just over 5 weeks is ok and can even have crazy kick off time when 💰💷💰is involved.

I agree there's too many games, I'm not disputing that.

But a winter break of a month or so would be absolute purgatory for me, not even other sports to enjoy, unlike spring/summer/autumn.  I'd be happy with a week off after Boxing Day to recharge batteries but god knows what would sustain me once we got into January!

Definitely. Just a more even spread of the games through the season would be ideal. Sack off the international breaks, keep the games ticking over each weekend and have a boxing day and new year's Day game only over the festive period
