I'm so happy.  So fucking happy. I love this football club and everything it's given me. Enjoy tonight people, go to bed smiling. Come on you white men.

It's a weird one for me. Hate him more now he's gone. Spent a lot of time defending him through blind loyalty and the fact he very nearly got us over the line. The contrast between Oxford an

Went exactly as I thought. Topless manc fart knockers singing Bolton get battered, going home in tears. No more lower league nonsense for me. Schuey is the fucking boy

Apologies in advance. I’ll not be wearing white

I'll be wearing white because I'm not a spoilsport 😉

£8 for a white t-shirt in Tesco, that'll do.

Looking for a sports bar in and around Lucerne/Zurich for the game tomorrow. Anyone got any past experience or recommendations?

Cheers,

Chippy

I have absolutely zero knowledge, but ChatGPT says:

For an English lower-league playoff final, your best bet is definitely Zürich rather than Lucerne — far more pubs with Sky/TNT-style football coverage, and a stronger expat / football-watching crowd. The match kicks off at 13:00 UK time (14:00 Switzerland).

My shortlist would be:

Best overall options in Zürich

  • Kennedy’s Irish Pub — probably the safest choice. Big sports-pub setup, lots of screens, reliably shows British football, and used to accommodating requests for EFL games.
  • Paddy Reilly’s — another strong option for English football. Large venue, central location near Paradeplatz, usually very football-friendly atmosphere.
  • O’Callaghan’s Shamrock Irish Pub — slightly more relaxed/local feel but very good for televised football. Worth messaging ahead because they’re usually accommodating if asked in advance.
  • Le Calvados - Bar Sportif — genuine sports-bar vibe rather than Irish pub. If you want a place where people are there specifically to watch sport, this is a good shout.
  • 2. Akt Sportsbar Zürich — proper dedicated sports bar with multiple feeds/screens. Less atmosphere than the Irish pubs but perhaps the most likely to put on an EFL playoff final if asked.

If you end up in Lucerne instead

Lucerne is trickier for niche English football unless there’s broader interest. I’d try:

  • The Irish-style pubs around the old town/station area
  • Hotel bars showing Sky Sports
  • Or simply ask staff if they can switch one screen over

But honestly, if the match matters to you, I’d take the train into Zürich for it.

A couple of practical Swiss tips:

  • Many pubs will prioritise bigger Premier League / Bundesliga fixtures unless you ask early.
  • Calling or messaging tonight/tomorrow morning is worthwhile: “Can you show the Bolton vs Stockport League One playoff final from Wembley?”
  • Swiss pubs are usually happy to put a game on if they have the channel and there’s no clash with a huge event.

Surprisingly, my DIOUF 21 top that has been under the bed for 15 years still fits 👍

Obviously wouldn't be needed tomorrow, but we need to put some heavy pressure on the club to do this one in a long sleeve version

That really is a thing of beauty 👍

Glorious in Brentford- £7ish a pint, but plenty of live music. Also a Lidl for cheap keg in the room

Where are you? Looks very leafy.

Normid 89 at the ready for the 3:30 alarm for me.

Both my lads are wearing the same shirts they wore for semi final both legs - green training and match day training between them - but have plumped for white bucket hats instead.

You whites.

Only thing I'd possibly have from 15yrs ago that would still fit are trainers.

As for wearing white, I do have a 10 German Bombers t-shirt signed by our UEFA Cup squad,
Would it now be classed as a racist hate crime to wear it?
