Let's just move every fixture and balls to the original schedule.

SKY TV can fuck off.

Really is shit. Putting aside personal circumstances that might make weird kick off times harder to get to early Saturday kick offs are abysmal for atmosphere and I always feel like you miss the footballing weekend when your team plays on Friday or Monday

Congratulations on promotion. Most Wrexham fans were hoping you stuff those Stockport scruffs, and you did. 👏 As a rough guide we spent around £30-35 million last summer and just missed out on th

I'd snatch your hand off for fourth from bottom right now.  Next season is about staying up unless we get some major investment from somewhere over the summer.

Tuesday 8 September 2026, Bolton Wanderers v West Ham United, 8pm, live on Sky Sports Football

Will WHUFC John appear on here this season?

Wasn't aware itv had games

Had some last season

Watched a bit of Boro v Millwall

Did have a hangover though and couldn't be arsed moving

Millwall v West Ham Southampton v Portsmouth Burnley v Blackburn Rovers Birmingham City v West Ham

Could call it "The big fight night".

Boro v Southampton, West Bro v Wolves, Wolves v Stoke, Swansea v Cardiff still to be arranged.

Looking at matches switched for Sky, we do seem to have come off badly in terms of the number of games moved, pre-Jan. I'm not including West Ham etc which were midweek anyway and we aren't inconvenienced by having it on TV. But games rearranged from a normal 3pm KO, for TV.

5 homes (compared to 1 each for Blackburn and QPR). Only Sheff U got more (6).

We have 7 in total, compared to 4 for Bristol, Pompey, QPR, Swansea. The most is 8 - Boro, Sheff U and Wolves.

We got away with only 2 aways switched (some have 5) but 3 teams including Burnley only 1.

We should expect a lot of Saturday 3pm home games in 2027 to redress the balance.

1 syllable too many

As far as we go this season we need to make home games count if we can win 15 of them and get about 8 draws away we should be fine no problem!

I’d take 15 wins in total, home and away! 😂

By Christmas.

Nice article above.

I’ll post the last couple of paragraphs which conclude it nicely.

Bolton had no exclusive right to get back into the Championship – they learned that over their half decade in League One. They have no exclusive right to stay there either. Their tale of implosion is not unique and does not buy them extra points, even if it might produce a little extra patience. The gap is daunting. I hope everybody understands that.

But I also hope this season, however it shakes out for Schumacher and his squad, provides enough moments for supporters where they can take a step back and appreciate the journey and the effort in a wider context.

Realism is rarely sexy and rarely sells easily. Recovery is a slog and too often the thanks you get is “What next?” On the eve of every season, you root for certain clubs and managers. Bolton and Schumacher are two of mine. They are back in the Championship. I hope that they are ready for a different type of storm.

Daniel Storey is an absolute football nut, not just a quality journalist. Loves the game, at all levels and has the talent to write engaging articles.

A couple of years ago he visited, watched a game at and wrote a feature on every club in the 92. He's doing something similar this season based on a vote of where he should for his next match.

I love his enthusiasm and the joy he gets going to games that I probably wouldn't go anywhere near even if they were paying me!

West ham now signing a player for 22 million ! Football has just got dafter, their lot must now be demanding to batter every team.

I've predicted an implosion for decades yet it doesn't come.

Somebody, really big, is just going to blow at some point.

tbf to Wet Spam they have sold a good few since relegation so have the cash. ... & I read somewhere they have sold an outrageous number ofcseason tickets & I guess will feature on tv more than most.

Probably because the fans are expecting to go straight back up and don't want to ditch them so they go to the back of the waiting list if they do

Whether they turn up to a shitty midweek game in November remains to be seen

Funny how they're not on the pitch protesting about the owners, one of whom has been told to stay away for his own safety though
