On the flip side who do you most enjoy listening to

Dave Higson (RIP) - Say what you see Dave, a true legend.

Chris Kamara - Passionate and not afraid to make a fool of himself.

Ian Darke - A much under appreciated commentator very knowledgeable about all sports especially boxing.

Andy Gray - just for his catch phrases "You just don't save those!!!!!!"

Kenneth Wolstenholme---------Bought shares in our club, when we were piss poor.

John Motson - the voice of football

John Motson - the voice of football

tell me you're joking!! the sooner that kunt is retired the better....just plays to his image now.

best - Jonathon Pierce

Coleman with his - "one nil" as the ball hit the back of the net.

fcuk him - I remember occasions when he said "1-0" even when it wasnt and then had to correct himself, silly sod. BUT it's a good shout as it's reminded me of "Sportsnight with Coleman"

I defy anyone of a certain vintage not to get nostalgic when they hear the theme tune:

http://tv.cream.org/specialassignments/the.../sportsnite.mp3

(fast forward to the last minute or so to hear the familiar bit)

Great memories that theme, liked the old KICK OFF tune in the Granada area, with Gerald Sinstad, from the 70s. :D

Gerald Sinstadt; anyone remember his "handling offence" around the time of the 90 World Cup?

And Elton Welsby

I fcuking hate John Motson, and Gerald Sinstadt was depressing on a wet sunday afternoon, the main man for me was Barry Davies, almost poetic. The Best imo

agree that motson is ragging awful

he couldn't know less about football if he tried

the guy has researchers putting information on a piece of paper for him, and he still fucks up with almost clockwork regularity

Barry Davies - True legend

Tony Gubba

Chris Kamara

Andy Gray

Jerry Armstrong

Peter Brackley

Bleedin' ell. Do you lads not get Martin Tyler up there? Worshipped down here as the best in the world. Woking fan ain't he? I'm with the lads who said Kenneth Wolstenholme. Can't beat one of yer own.

took me 19 minutes to work up to it 8-[

Martin Tyler / Andy Gray for me.

Darke though is the absolute business as a boxing commentator, and gets the best all-rounder crown.

Hugh Johns.

We used to call him 'Big mits' :D

Cracking old time common tata though.

martin tyler

barry davies

and the italian footy commentator who's name escapes me...

Jamie "me dad's the manager so i'll get a game" Redknapp. That red ginger is stealing a living. Fair enough he's spent enought time watching football instead of playing it but he is just sky's answer to Graeme Le Saux, something for the wives to look at on a Sunday.
