jayjayoghani
http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Seaso...~830448,00.html Season Tickets Early Purchase Season Ticket Deadline Extended BOLTON WANDERERS Football Club has extended its 'early purchase season ticket' deadline date by a further fortnight to allow supporters extra time to return their application forms or for existing season ticket holders to complete their season ticket renewals on-line. Since going on sale last month, the Club has already processed a vast amount of applications prompting officials to extend the early purchase deadline from Saturday, 20 May to Saturday, 3 June. The Club's Commercial Director, Gareth Moores, said: "We have taken the decision to extend the deadline by a further two weeks in order to reduce the last minute clamour for season tickets and the inevitable congestion that customers could experience on the telephones or at the BWFC Ticket and Membership Office. "By extending the deadline in this way we are able to spread the demand over a longer period of time, thereby reducing queuing and waiting times while also providing considerably higher levels of customer service." marple whites
It's a joke - you know when the deadline is, if you haven't renewed - tough. It penalises the people that have renewed as you could have left the cash in your own account for another few weeks !! Sods law, if I had of waited, they wouldn't have extended. YATESY
Interesting that a reference to 'large demand' does not appear as a reason for extending the deadline this season, unlike in previous years! The reason used this year is an 'expectation' of last minute applications rather than facts. mmmm - season ticket sales down compared to previous years Mr Moores

Happy Wanderer
It's just another marketing ploy and a poor one at that. If season ticket sales are up then why extend the date as they have captured more than enough? Last minute rush? This means that people haven't yet renewed, so how are season ticket sales up? In times like this there should be more staff on hand to tackle expected demand. Having people hanging onto the phone for more than 15 minutes is unexceptable. Moderators Carlos Posted May 18, 2006 Moderators Share Posted May 18, 2006 Most of the intelligent people on here work for companies with marketing and sales departments. We know exactly how they work and can smell their bullshit a mile off. The people BWFC employ aren't even particularly good at it. I'd rather they said sales are down, we are in this together and we need you rather than lie.

Traf
They've had to extend the deadline for basic business sense. If you can't sell a product for a tenner this week, don't expect to get ??11 for it next week. Sit it out until a week before the season starts, they'll be knocking them out at half-price!
