From t' watford game. Worst match of my life. Sun in me eyes all afternoon. They were shit. We were shitter. Left well before we scored. Total lack of an atmos in the ground at all.

Typical matchday experience, eh?

:(

1) by a cap or sit in west

2) watford were not shit taking into consideration the fact they are a newly promoted team and spent next to nothing, they played well and almost scored on 4 occasions

3) the goal was even more sweeter as it taught a lesson to all those that left early

The more slender of the Smiley brothers phoned me up, "is it, is it right we scored a penalty? We left". Part-time supporters. I stayed until the end and I don't even have a season ticket, how loyal am I?

i left early because it was ragging boring.

i was home for 6 pm, to leeds.

i harldy ever leave early and i was nt bothered about missing the goal.

we were woeful today they were not much better but at least we won.

if we do not sign some 'legs' in midfield in january it will be a disgrace the worst player on the pitch was kevin nolan he had a stinker.

england class ?? do nt make me laugh.

see you all next week.

got to be the worst performance i have seen at reebok for a few years no one played well bar perhaps campo nicky hunt just dreadful feel a bit sorry for watford they were shite too looked like us a few years ago. Anelka just lookes unfit to me

Wasn't exactly the best atmosphere, but for me today had a better atmosphere than at least 6 or 7 games last season.

We went through games last season where we didn't at all sing, especially towards the end of the campaign.

The late penalty has made me completely forget how awful we were. However, is it not good that even though we played so badly we still came away with 3 points? Thats what all the best teams do, pick up the points even on their off days. We also saw glimpses of Anelka's class, Vaz looked very sharp when he came on and Idan Tal played very well. Shame only half the crowd was there to see the goal, but thats there problem.

Before I start on my rant I feel it only right to point out that today???s match was well below the standard I have become accustomed too.

Now my gripe is with the bloke in the WSL, and anyone else for that matter, who thought it was appropriate to make a public attack against the team and Alladyce when leaving the stadium with 10mins to go. I, like many others, was pissed off at the thought of us only getting a point against a team who I thought we would beat. But at the end of the day Watford tried to do to us what we have successfully done to other teams in the past. If we had not won today then we will have to learn to take results like that on the chin. If these performances become a regular thing then I would fully expect the ???10mins before the end brigade??? to have a reet good moan on leaving. Who knows, even I might get up waving my arms around. Some of these people who thought it was right to leave early were running back up from the exits like rats when we got a penalty. Obviously the reason to leave wasn???t that important after all.

Although it was rubbish we won, and I don???t give a shite about how moaning Bolton fans feel. My weekend is a good one at the moment.

One plus from the game was idan Tal,he looks a good player. :good:

Watford didnt deserve to lose, they were a very strong team.It will be intresting to see the press they get after all the crap we have had over playing long balls,They hit more long balls today than Bolton do in 5 games put together.

Meite looks far from convincing =@

Anelka lacked match fitness,We missed Davies badly today .

It was a bloody awful game. If I was the ref I would not have given the penalty. Tal was going nowhere and looking for a leg to fall over. Still three points.

irrelevant

Shelled out just short of 100 quid for 3 of us to attend our first game this season. Oh dear.....how drab has the best league in the world become? The standard in the league has dropped since we came up. We hardly created a chance, only Campo showed some class and composure.

I am not one who has ever had a go at Nicky Hunt, but he looked totally out of his depth, never won a challenge in 35 mins, was woefully out of position on occasions, did not mark and could not stop any crosses coming in.

I think we will finish between 15th qand 10th on that showing but I wont be wasting money on this overated crap for a while.

absolutely dire performance today  watford were unlucky not to come away with the points imho

definate penalty is sit right behind the goal at that end and the watfod defender just swung a leg and brought him down!

we were sh??t but hey, three points is three points!

i thought the atmosphere was pretty good considering how shit the game was!

Watched it with work, it was a definite penalty, Shittu took a massive swipe at Tal.

Poorest game since Blackburn last year, they hit the woodwork four times and to be honest deserved the win. Still we won, are 6th in the table, roll on next Saturday.

I think your eyes are playing tricks on you Biff. I agree he was going nowhere but the defender with the best name in the premiership made a schoolboy challenge and it was a stonewall penalty.

1-0, job done.

who told you :D

What about the disallowed goal. Was Vaz Te offside. I don't think he would have scored if the Watford defence had not stopped playing.

Speedo was the calmest person in the ground when he stepped up to take that, there was never any chance of him missing it.

And like someone said before it wasn't the best performance but it is 3 points and with only playing well once out of 4 games we are still 6th. :D

f??cking appalling game of football, but to be fair much of that was down to watford doing really well closing down any space, winning most stuff in the air and working damn hard. plus our lack of quality in centre midfield stood out a mile!

3pts lets move on...

A dire game and one of the worst I've seen us play for a long time.

Before Hunt came off the whole team looked like they hadn't played together at all, shambles springs to mind. It's strange how a little shuffle of players makes a vast improvement in the ability of players, they can actually pass the ball to one another all of a sudden.

Meite, oh dear the jury is out on him - shocker.

Campo, everyone's favourite clown, but hell he's at least a stone over weight.

Anelka, the lad needs about 3-4 games under his belt and he will start to find the net.

Overall I'm happy we picked up 3 points, they may not seem vital now but every point counts no matter how you get them. Big Sam is in the business of 'points in the bag' and how 'we' entertain the fans comes second.

Must improve or the stay away fans won't return.

big sam soon realised that faye and campo together in midfield did not work hence the sub with hunt coming off and moving faye into centre back with tbh right back. I thought meite did well and the times he did look poor were against crosses that are near impossible to defend. nolan couldnt win a raffle. vaz te looks the business. diouf was garbage and contributed nothing as i can remember

Watford controlled the first 20 minutes - played the Bolton way, plenty of big lads and crosses

Hunt was poor and derserved to go, he should have done better at heading

Meite lacked confidence today, he was poor

Biggest test of Allardyce's Bolton Reign - How can we change the system to accomodate Anelka. Nolan is a runner (ala David Platt) rather than a passer. Campo is a defensive midfielder with a good pass. Faye is a stopper, reserve at best. No-one to run with the ball, like JJ or Gazza.

So how does BSA change it? Today it was long ball to Anelka, the midfield can't change the ir ways. Would we have played worse without Kev Davies? No way IMO. So Sam has got to find a way of getting some craft into the midfield, it is a diificult one

jesus did none of you actualy think that it was going to be like that befor the kick off today. i prepared myself for a hard game and new that watford would come and be more than a match for us. we always find it hard to get past a team that defends for there life like we used to do away from home in are first two years.

lets not forget we had a perfectly good goal rueled off side and eventualy got the goal that counts. this was the kind of performace that is hard to watch but has given me so much joy because in the past we have lacked the ability to grined out a victory when we have not deserved it

alot of u are upset about this game and yes i agree it was not worth the money payed out to watch it. but please take it from me this is not going to be the norm this season. this will be one of the hardest games we have had to sit thru but its going to be a good season and i still belive we will be up there in the top 8 come the end of the season.

keep the faith guys, the lads need us all to be there week in week out
