Guest Krusty Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 which is the best pub for the army of travellers? last time just did town centre.
jules_darby Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I'm not having a go at anyone that doesn't travel, but it's not far, it's a Sat kick off at 3pm, we're in 3rd place in the Prem League and it's only ??26 per ticket... If we only take about 1,500 I think that confirms that we have very, very poor away support and we are indeed a pretty small club! Doesn't overly bother me, but I think it's the truth!
Guest Krusty Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 i think even Charlton managed to nearly fill that bottom tier, according to thefootballgroundguide.co.uk it holds 3000. it will be embarrasing if its only half full! ??26, 1 hours journey, few pints, 3 points, plus its an away game on a saturday kicking off at 3pm, iirc the first since Charlton at the start of the season? and not on tele. the stayaways are running out excuses for this one!

That's hardly a revelation though. I used to travel anywhere and everywhere, ??26 is a bargain and it's easy to get to. I have absolutely no idea why I'm not going.

Carlos Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 It's to do with habit. I've fallen out of love with football, from FIFA, UEFA and the FA through to BWFC Plc.

Zico Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 which is the best pub for the army of travellers? last time just did town centre. not sure if it's still open but there is a pub called the Cossack just up the hill, as it were, from the train station there is also a pub on London Road called The Cremorne which let away fans in, probably the only one on London Road that you'd want to go in Pomona / Nusery Taven on Ecclesall Road are good too, about 10/15 mins walk from the ground
Mounts Kipper Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 get your arses over to sheffield tommorow,if you are not going and have no valid excuse can you really call yourself a bolton wanderers fan?

Mounts Kipper Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 Not that self-righteous shite again <yawn> not self righteous at all, i dont go to all games anymore, so i dont consider myself the greatest fan of BWFC in the last few seasons i have missed probably 1/2 the away games for 1 reason or another sometimes i could not be arsed travelling to London if it was on SKY or dodgy satellite, but i think if it is a 3pm kick off not on sky and only 1 hour away, and people say there not going because they cannot be arsed, it is a valid question to raise are they really bolton fans, i have know many lads who were massive bolton fans they dont go home or away anymore in my opinion they are not Bolton fans any more, simple as that.

Totally agree Mounts. Yeah i may be a moaning sod but i am above all else a Bolton paying supporter who spends a lot of money home and away. I honestly thought tomorrow we would take 2500 at least. 1500 is pitiful, pathetic, call it what you will. Last year we blamed UEFA. At these levels we are one of the smallest teams in Prem League and i believe away support is a good measure as to the perceived size of a club.
Guest The Special One Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I can't believe that that is all we are taking Its about an hour by road or train FFS If you have no valid reason for not going, get your f??ckin arses there tomorrow and pay on the gate FFS BWFC Passion not Fashion

tkonion Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Ani, do you work in the ticket office by any chance? This isn't the first time you've been on here defending the lack of communication from the club about ticket sales.I think we all realise its the management not the people who just work in the office who are found wanting. If el-Hadji Diouffs jock strap is being auctioned online the club has no problem in making us all aware of it,however if its something important they just can't be arsed in keeping us informed.
