I just got back from the cinema (watching Apocalipto - which was very well done) and who walks out next to me but our Henrick. I said hello and that he had been a great servant to the club and he was very obliging. Its not the first time I've spoken to him either and he always has time for someone.

 

Time ago I was in Atlantis - I think I was about 16. The team always went in there for end of season do or something and there were quite a few players in. I was talking to Gudni and he was taking the piss out of me cos I looked so young - top bloke!!

The most ignorant of them all is Allardyce himself.

 

I was at a BBQ last summer, when he jumped the hot dog queue in front of me, took two hot dogs and stuffed them whole into his mouth.

 

Stelios is also ignorant as i saw him taking up a disabled parking spot at my local gym.

My MD's wife knows Scott Sellars' Missus and they both came out for a birthday meal a couple of years back and you could not stop Scott talking about Bolton and football in general - real top fella.

 

Of the current squad, I've found Vaz Te, Gary Speed and Diouf to have time to chat when out in bars etc. Allardyce thinks he's a cut above the ordinary man in my experience and Jussi looked miserable as anything when I've been around him, apart from the chairman's ball a few years ago when he p??ssed himself for about 5 mins after a bladdered Gumbo fell over a stationary Kevin Nolan.

if he keeps playing as well as he is doing he can be as miserable as he wants to be, seems every tom dick and harry in bolton is stopping him when he is out with his kid.

Jussi - utter missery guts. Never acknowledges anybody, never speaks and never smiles even though they are parents of lads in the same class

 

Stelios - nice as pie. Always has time to say hello and chat.

i have had the pleasure of playing alongside tony kelly and dave felgate, and both were quality... zico had some right stories about tomo- he had everyone in stiches and was really down to earth, felgate was always cracking jokes... david lee was always approachable and friendly, but none compare to super john... different times though eh

Personally, I couldn't give a f??ck about whether they're nice guys or not. As long as they keep winning football matches, that's all that matters really. At the end of the day they're just highly paid tradesmen and should be considered as such: do you ever stop your local builder or plumber when he's trying to do his shopping?

 

Also, if you all stopped trying to talk to Jussi, maybe he could utilise that time to practice his kicking!

Jussi is still scared from having to catch a plane back from Helsinki with myself, Bobcat, Mr H, Widnes, Dolly (not Bird), RB and others.

............... agreed, however, it is nice when they make an effort, not that it takes much to say "hello".

 

No 2 son's first game was away at Palace 2000/01 when Colin Hendry broke his nose. Because he got up and and played on he become an instant hero to my 5 year old. A month before his next birthday I wrote to the player care of the club, sent a fisrt class stamp, a cheque and a covering letter explaining that if he could get a card from the club shop with the cheque provided he would make the little guy's day. Didn't hear a thing, cheque was not cashed and I thought "such is life".

 

A couple of weeks after the birthday I received a letter addressed to me. In it was a card, a signed photo and a handwritten letter to the lad explaining the tardiness of his reply was due to the fact he was away having his nose fixed. No 2 son walking on air for weeks. Cheque never cashed. Don't know what happened to the stamp mind (tight fisted Scottish b*stard)
