And it's Rob Styles again, i've yet to see a more BLATANT penalty this season.

Rob styles is a cheating puppet of the F.A. someone should compile a file of his disgraceful refereeing decisions.

apparently the italians have had an expression since the 60's : sudditanza psicologica - psychological slavery.

it applies to italian referees who naturally tend to assist the rich & powerful clubs as a normal way of refereeing.

["calcio : a history of italian football"] <_<

maybe that explains styles' dark hair ....

We've had one in England for a lot longer than that; the expression is 'cheating c?nt'.

never mind that, who's winning?

I thought he said "It's good but it's not that good" or am I dreaming?

He said that too.

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock:

"I thought we gave a good account of ourselves but we have been beaten by a better side.

"It was as clear as daylight that we should have had a penalty when Gabriel Heinze fouled Luton Shelton.

"If you are a football person you don't need anyone else to tell you that was a penalty. This was a major decision and between referee Rob Styles and his linesman, they have got to get that right.

"If he gives it he upsets Sir Alex Ferguson and I know people don't like to upset Sir Alex but he should have given that."

The bloke in that picture is a friend of mine, it is a few years since he was on that catchphrase programme. He lives in Atherton, his brother played for Leigh Centurians at the time.

This evidence that BSA has presented to Keith Hackett about refs favouring 'Big Teams'...

...surely adding to that Styles failure to award 'certain' penalties against Arsenal and United in the space of 4 days must warrant further investigation?

Without wishing to defend Styles, there was an angle from the camera at the Stretford End which showed ref, Heinze and ball in shot.

When Heinze made the tackle, his body obscured the view of the tackle for the ref. It would have been a very tough call to make. That plus the very quick counter-attack meant that Styles was a long way away too.

Doesn't excuse his linesman mind.

There's a time and a place for that kind of nonsense, and this isn't it!

He wants burning.

As Roy Walker used to say: "Say what you see!"

And I thought he said "Here, spend all this cash on winning a Premiership Title" and then later went on to say, "To my beloved Blackburn, I leave a few million pounds"

Or maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

All aboard the bandwagon it is then. :good:

OK then

Flag wavers are the scum. In the last few years they have retired to just flagging for off-sides and ins-and-outs. I can not recall the last time I saw a linesman put his flag across his chest for a penalty or waved for a free-kick.

Get rid of them all and use hawk eye instead!

So that's twice in however many days that he has missed a penalty against a big club. And twice that people have excused him for not having a good view of the incident. Well surely part of being a good referee is making sure you do have a good view of such incidents. I for one would never suggest that he intentionally dived behind the nearest player on each occasion to make sure he had an excuse for not giving the penalties.

Hindered view or not he said no penalty without even looking at the linesman...

the bloke is a $hithouse...

he just won't rock the boat .. takes the easy route everytime.

Come on lads, let's be honest, even if they'd have gotten the penalty United would have crapped all over them. It was a total mismatch. I'm starting to warm to United, I'd certainly prefer them than Chelsea.

Banned after just 2 posts. Surely that's going to be the record?

It does not matter that United would have crapped all over them, the law of the game are they to be enforced , does not matter if the score is 0-0 or 20-0 , end off
