The True Marple White Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) I saw him with his Mrs in the hotel on Saturday before the game WOW Edited August 13, 2007 by The True Marple White
Zico Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I saw him with his Mrs in the hotel on Saturday before the game WOW yeah? was his mrs alright as well?
Arnold Jackson Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Both Wilhelmsson and Braaten are in the team tonight to play Man City in the Manchester Senior Cup at Sports City.
YATESY Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 From what I saw on Saturday our problem may become not being able to pass the ball wide to our wingers. Diouf was screaming for the ball on Saturday but none of our midfield players looked capable of finding him.
Casino Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Both Wilhelmsson and Braaten are in the team tonight to play Man City in the Manchester Senior Cup at Sports City. i'm having some of this
Arnold Jackson Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) ok, someone enlighten me please sports city? Think its the area around Man City's new ground . . . am guessing but the name probably comes from the recent Commonwealth Games held there. The actual venue for reserve games is the Regional Athletics Arena adjacent to the City of Manchester Stadium. Edited August 13, 2007 by Arnold Jackson
Churchill Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) Belting place is Sports City! It's like a little Reebok, ive watched a few games there and the last one i watched was actually China under 18s vs our Sister club Wuhan F.C! Edited August 13, 2007 by tonygreen1981
Casino Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 (edited) won 2-1 started 4-3-3, quickly went 4-4-2, willie left, braaten up front with harsanyi first goal - after about 10 - was as good as owt we've scored for years 4 or 5 passes on the deck involving braaten and a bit of a scuffed finish from harsanyi mpenza missed a sitter half time came, wilhelmsson who'd done nowt, and braaten who was surprisingly good - pacy and a decent touch - went off id guess braaten may make the bench wednesday i'd also say wilhelmsson is nowhere near the first team second half, nice volley, in fact, very good volley from harsanyi, who by now was partnered by a black flying machine fcuk me, he was impressive - i think it was thompson andranik played the second half, to little effect city got a last minute penalty was quite impressed with our right back - 16 (?) year old black kid - david gbemie michalik was michalik - big, strong, slow, booked also, first half, we tried to play football, and with braaten a willing target, it showed promise Edited August 13, 2007 by Casino
Arnold Jackson Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Cheers for that Cass. Bit disappointed with Christian who was supposed to be chomping at the bit to play but perhaps Braaten [ my tip for player of the season ] could even start on Wednesday if he was taken off at half time? Come on you Whites
cbwfcd Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Thanks for the info Sounds promising for Braaten.
Mounts Kipper Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 my guess is that braaten was trying his bollox of to impress while wilhelmson was taking it easy with a view to wednesday night, I would not write to much into wilhelmsons performance.
Parker Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 my guess is that braaten was trying his bollox of to impress while wilhelmson was taking it easy with a view to wednesday night, I would not write to much into wilhelmsons performance. I was thinking that exactly. They should both be in the squad tomorrow

bolty58 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 my guess is that braaten is fitwilhelmsson aint we'll see, soon enough and braaten looked much more suited to playing up front than out wide Homo has Braaten written off as a no hoper. Can I take it you have a different opinion?
bwfcbromcross Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 my guess is that braaten is fit wilhelmsson aint we'll see, soon enough and braaten looked much more suited to playing up front than out wide does this mean he will replace davies while he is injured????
HomerJay Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Homo has Braaten written off as a no hoper. Can I take it you have a different opinion? a reserve game against man city kids and a intensive premier league match. thats the same.
Casino Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 homos right in that the standard was nowt special only city 'names' where fernnades and mpenza our team was bigger and stronger and way more experienced all i'm saying is theyre different types of players and i think braaten might be close to a start - but not imo on the wing tother one looked a few weeks away no doubt he'll start and create 5 tomorrow
jimmyjoojar Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 a reserve game against man city kids and a intensive premier league match. thats the same. Your right its nothing like the same thing. But he impressed while Willy didn't. That doesn't mean a great deal granted, but its got to be better than him looking utter shite. At the moment we're all basing our opinions on jack shite, Braaten could be a great signing or another flop. Only time will tell. I'm surprised you've no faith in him knowing the number of unknowns we've brought in who have done great.
