Stoke

Featured Replies

The Sunday game V Stoke in the FA cup in 74 was a tasty encounter on the Lever, got kicked out, but managed to get back in, and see Byrom get his hatrick.

just finished reading "naughty" by mark chester, i hope we don't play them at home 1st game of the season. (there are a couple of mentions of them being battered at bolton in the 70's ) i do remember the 1-1 game in 77 when worthington scored , frightening................

Tis a good read though :good:

A visit to Stoke is dead sanitised, only probs next season will be on the away car park, when you get bricks lobbed at you over the fence.

Not if you go for a beer in Hanley, Shelton or Stoke itself before the game.

Only seems to be a couple of Midlands clubs, and the Welsh having any trouble around their grounds these days.

PS - I s'pose Millwall and Burnley still have a "welcome" for away fans though <_<

Oh aye, there's still a warm welcome in Dingle Valley.

May I just reiterate a previous comment I think I may have made.

F?ck me, they've got some ugly fans.

If you are of a delicate disposition, do not put SSN on.

JSL!

Lad at work is from there, on Sunday people were turning up in Stoke tops who'd been wearing Liverpool ones last week :pardon:

could be worse watching the goals from the blackpool game there was a young lad jumping up and down when blackpool scored, he had a Man u top on.

I saw that, sad bastards.

They will get less points than Derby got this season. =D>

i hope so

only two more bad teams to finish above

Seen quite a bit of West Brom this year, and they look like the most average champions in many a year.

Any of the play off teams might as well collect the money and stop at wom.

why why why Delilah

Problem with West Brom they may get enough points at home. We should be better than Stoke and play off winners then again Megson may change that

If you think Stoke have got ugly fans, take a look at our Lancs neighbours in Fleetwood.

Cheers for pointing that out Traf :good: FYI, I don't dye my hair red any more since meeting Ali and Kempo...................

I think it was Megson on a talent spotting mission for next seasons campaign.

True, but for their goal he was worst than slow motion..

He was actually 45!, no wonder he was slow getting down.

is that a man with a ponytail ! a man with a ponytail wtf

next you,ll be tellin me blokes drink pink cider called jacques .

Happened a few times that, plus those terrace houses right behind the away end, and getting lost round them getting back the van, and meeting some of the "friendly" locals

Was a strange place wasnt it ? We were "negotiating" the car park one season on our way into the ground when we saw a gentleman in his latter years ,also making his way into the stadium. Me and my mate both knew the face, but didnt know why. Racked my brains throughout the match trying to think where I knew him from. Driving home it clicked, it was Sir Stanley Matthews.
