The BBC must have some ragging top quality microphones or actually have mics under the stand because it was crystal clear on't radio.

it was pretty quiet though at the time

far as I could tell, first shout came from under the stand, and probably more than likely this bloke soon realised

the ones who started booing him straight away were just as bad, could've waited till the end

the design of the ground prob didnt help and made the chantting sound like it came from in the stand. theere is no internal roof on the concorse, if u looked over the 10ft wall at the bk of the stand, which doesnt reach upto the stadium roof you would be able to see down into the concorse. therefore any noise made under the stand would be clearly audible within the ground and sound as if it came from the last few rows of our section.

hope that makes sense

Seconded

The bloke who shouted 'white army' was in the stand itself, it could be clearly heard and not some noise from the concourse.

Tw?t of the highest order

It was the weekend of Rememberance Sunday, when all football matches have a minutes' silence so do folk really need a steward or policeman to tell them?

I agree the chants were from in the stands but the knob in the ground should have been tw@ted by anyone around him!!

I was pissed but can still respct the wear hero'sof the past... and it did make the other 3000+ respectfull fans look like dicks

when fans start booing these dicks,it just makes it worse.

folks should just ignore 'em and then the perpetrators end up looking very very silly.

would love to have given one of them a slap, especially over this particular silence.very surprised nobody didn't

Definitely wasn't just on the concourse.

Was a scandal that those in the stand joined in.

Hull fans singing "You're not English anymore" and having nothing to say back was a feeling I don't want to experience again.

I agree, it was embarrasing and uncomfortable.

Been in a communication free zone for four days. I did find time to e-mail this poem to a few off here as well as a good few other folk from Bolton and it has found it's way on to The Wanderer I hear.

Seems to have met with approval so I'll post it on here.

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The soldier stood and faced God,

Which must always come to pass.

He hoped his shoes were shining,

Just as brightly as his brass.

'Step forward now, you soldier,

How shall I deal with you ?

Have you always turned the other cheek ?

To My Church have you been true?'

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,

'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.

Because those of us who carry guns,

Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,

And at times my talk was tough.

And sometimes I've been violent,

Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,

That wasn't mine to keep...

Though I worked a lot of overtime,

When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,

Though at times I shook with fear.

And sometimes, God, forgive me,

I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,

Among the people here.

They never wanted me around,

Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,

It needn't be so grand.

I never expected or had too much,

But if you don't, I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,

Where the saints had often trod,

As the soldier waited quietly,

For the judgment of his God.

'Step forward now, you soldier,

You've borne your burdens well.

Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,

You've done your time in Hell.'

Some notright sent me that via email too.

...and that bloke is a notreet, I'll tell thee. Part time JCL tosser didn't even go to Hull (but would have given owt to be there as he has still seen zero coverage. No goal, no saves, no away following - nothing. Serves the coont right).
