HR Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 After todays game he said. we are carrying two or threee players at the moment and we can't do that His interviews are getting more and more bizzare, if he is blaming 2 or 3 players he should let everyone know who they are, I think Nolan and Davies are 2. Not because they are bad players, quite the opposite would be interested to hear the views of those who went today.
Mounts Kipper Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 must mean the bolton fans then? I am not so sure,I think there is definitely something going on around the club, my guess is that Allardyce is spreading his tentacles into the Bolton dressing room, through his contacts and agents is trying to unsettle the likes of Nolan/Davies, Allardyce getting a job so close to Bolton is bad news in my opinion.

Allardyce at Jackburn and Megson at Bolton is an utter nightmare for me. If what you say is correct (which I doubt) ask yourself why they would rather play for him rather than our super hero red head.

Another quote from him this week regarding Nicky Hunt ?He has never been out of the equation and he will be involved in some way this Saturday and on the Saturday after.? I think it was with him being so 'involved' as today made him want to go out on loan in the first place.
Piemon Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 things are looking pretty bleak and all this in fighting within the supporters and manager isnt helping. what a nightmare its turned into. I agree with most though the mans clueless and he cant motivate his teams

superjohnmcginlay Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) Were 3 points above relegation, we get the'Arsenal game and Man U game out of the way im confident about our run in regardless of whos in charge IMO Edited January 3, 2009 by superjohnmcginlay

It just might the usual problem; poor results=problem in dressing room. Good results=motivated, happy club. And we are staring at 5 defeats ont trot.
glennboltw Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Just got back from Sunderland completely deflated. When I saw the team that we were playing I thought we was really going all out for a good run in the cup....how wrong I was. Megson got some browny points off me when I saw the team sheet as for once I thought we was going to be a real handfull towards Sunderland, how wrong was I?, there was a complete lack of effort IMO as if we could not careless about the F.A cup. How times have changed since our last visit to the stadium of light. Complete lack of confidence and leadership, Think we really need a leader within our midfield with plenty of premiership experience. Come On You White's

pete harry Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Were 5 points abov relegation, we get the'Arsenal game and Man U game out of the way im confident about our run in regardless of whos in charge IMO I think you will find we are 3 points above relegation, with three very loseable matches to come. However, I still think we will be safe at the end. WBA, Stoke and Portsmouth are going down.

He needs to get a grip, then. For a start, move over here, rather than spending 4 hours to and from Sheffield every day. Meet with the fans, try a bit.
Sweep Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 For a start, move over here, rather than spending 4 hours to and from Sheffield every day. I fail to see exactly what difference that would make
Tombwfc Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Megson could move into the Town Hall and change his name to Mr Bolton Wanderers FC, and he'd still get no closer to connecting with the fans. It's never going to happen, and it's not of Megsons doing either. You could argue he hasn't done anything to help the situation, but why bother? He'd just be pissing in the wind. I doubt anyone at the club is all that arsed. It's Megsons relationship with the players that is what counts, and that is fine. We'll be reet after we get through these next three games.
Guest Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I fail to see exactly what difference that would make Well, if there are problems, he is in situ to solve And, he can attend functions "90% of success is being there" I want him to succeed, but I find myself increasingly irate with him.
Casino Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 i suspect its just possible there might just be a room in the hotel with his name on

JimmyRiddle Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 It's Megsons relationship with the players that is what counts, and that is fine. Well the way they have been playing for him, are you sure???
exiledwhite2 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I never doubted it would be a tough season One things for sure we shouldn't be panicking - or if we are, at least 12 other clubs should be too We could have Mourinho in charge right now, it wouldn't matter - we're 2 or 3 good players from a safe top half team. In the last 2 years we've lost JJ, Stelios and Campo amongst others - top, seasoned players who are hard for us to replace He's signed well so far, hopefully he can get one or two more in Jan That's why I'd rather he looked for quality rather than Davenport and the like
Traf Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Megson's hardly going to buy a house in Bolton, when most people want him sacked every time we get a bad result. He'd be a prisoner in his own home. Perhaps he drives back to Sheffield to avoid the hecklers.
Rembrandt Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 When Megson said about not allowing outside influences to unsettle the club, he apparently meant the way the media (& fans) say we've lost 5 of the last 6 when they could equally be saying we've won 5 of the last 11. Fair point. He'll be judged at end of season, not before ...... unless we hit the bottom three once more, which might make ED & PG think again. Possibly. Maybe.
Guest Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 (edited) Listening to Megson on Radio Manc and he said about outside influnences causing us to implode at the football club. So, who are they? Not the press, he's one of the lowest profile mangers and at a low profile club. Not the fans, surely? Agents? Possibly; so sort it out Or, is it nonsense? But, it's not the first time: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A25349358 "Gary Megson cannot expect supporters to tolerate his reference to ?behind the scenes problems? as an excuse for underachievement if he is not prepared to be specific. For too long has Megson teased frustrated supporters with equivocal tirades about problems which, for all we know, could be a delusional fallacy." http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A25349358 Edited January 4, 2009 by boltondiver
Horwich Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 He wont be sacked, Mr Gartside will stick by him. Thats why I aint gonna bother saying get rid of him anymore.
