Nolan will be kissing the badge within the month.

He's one of them now, let's move on.

Anyone seen Megson's line in the Mirror?

"For any more details you will have to go to the press office of the football club and they will let you know what we're doing.

"That's as far as I'm going to go with it."

i despair ! oy mods whens the cull ?

Sorry - just pointing out something quoted that infers the club might be behind it rather than the manager. I don't see the problem. Please PM me if there's an issue.

Take no notice. He read about a line on the mirror!

Here here. The none Bolton view of this transfer has put it into perspective a little:

As City, Blackburn, United, Burnley and Rochdale fans at work have said to me - "Only Newcastle are that daft to pay that amount of money for Nolan"

Read the fucking forum before repeating stories and quotes!

1 ) does he know sam allydyce isn't there any more!

2 ) Why hasn't sam nipped in and took him to blackburn, he can't rate him that highly. Thought he would spend 4m of the xmas money from santa.

3 ) Who was the last played to move to newcastle and become a better player? Shearer?

3 Wyn Davies

You could say the same thing about Newcastle - who would want to go to that car crash right now?

You could also ask which other clubs in the relegation battle will be selling experienced Prem players to car-crash Newcastle this window.

i wouldnt buy nolan for 4.5m

but i wouldnt sell him for that either.

does that make sense?

Perfect sense, Homer ..... when he's our only fit experienced central-midfielder and we're selling him to a desperate relegation rival.

As for new replacements, we'll have to wait a few more days to see.

To be honest, i still say him going is the right thing

BUT

The selling fee does seem low in relation to other prices, considering his experience, age etc

Not sure on when his contract was up

Not to mention in relation to how desperate Newcastle are.

they say it because there are two big camps on here at the moment

one is to back the club to the hilt on everything they do

the other is to criticise the club for everything they do

both have no compromise that their are other facts

those blaming the idiots aren't comfortable in a position to be critical of megson, gartside or nolan as to reasons why this has happened so take the easy option

just like the idiots do with their chanting the other night

Sorry, Zico. I make it three camps. The third camp (broadly speaking) didn't want Megson, are still waiting to be convinced, don't boo him or the players, and make rational criticisms as & when.

Your two extremes do exist however, and always have done in difficult times.

camp 3 for me...

but the wankers in camp 2 push me toward camp 1

strange thing is, im not even slighltly camp... grrrrr

PG said it was the right move for the club official website.

what was right?

Maybe he did have a paddy with GM after the game on Weds.

Thought they would have someone lined up to come in.

Going into tomorrows game without him (Or a replacement) is suicide.

Or are the board trying to gamble on our future again? Like they did last January.

If they are, lets hope it doesnt end up in tears.

Maybe it's time for one of the squad/fringe players to step up to the mark and show GM that he is the person to take over the Kevin Nolan role. Whether that's someone with experience or Davies M, I don't give two shits. I just want MY team to do better than the other team not just in midfield but all over the park.

sorry, I meant big as in very vocal groups

I agree I sit in camp 3 miself, and I know the others who do, and geneally they are noted by their silence / balanced view whilst all the goings on have the mongsons, as I'll call them from now on, and the meg's son (because of their undivided loyalty (i'm bored)) shouting the loudest and bitching about each other

not the biggest nolan fan but

i would just like to thank nolan for all the years hard graft he put in for the club,he wore the shirt with a lot of pride and you can't saty that about to many footballers in this day and age,

legend i don't think he is but definately has iconic status,

i think it's a good deal all round as most have said he seems to have lost all sharpness and fitness over the past few years

i just hope when we play them in a few weeks (if he plays he gets a reception a good former player gets when he returns

got a funny feeling he'll come back to haunt us, 89th minute winner.

thanks for the memories kev and good luck in the future. apart from against the whites

was in the company of mr nolan at the weekend and was very dissapointed to here him say that he may leave the club due to the abuse he and members of his family have been subject to this season. i will tell you this, he has the club at heart and loves it but unless these morons ease up then i think he will be gone, love him or hate him is it to much to ask to get behind him. dont say you were not warned

Oh deary me

What are the anti "Anti idiot Haters" going to say now?

Seen his interview on SSN.

The question was put to him

"We're you disappointed GM was prepared to let you go"?

"Yes, but GM has his own ideas and I respect that...."

The rest was Nolan being politically correct and saying the right things.

Irrespective of effect of abuse, there's more to this I'm sure.

3 Wyn Davies

shearer was better at blackburn
