Nonsense

He's gone because we wanted the money, or because HE wanted the money, or because we wanted rid, or he wanted out

He definitely hasn't left because of the fans

very true. but i think fans opinion may have had a little impact.

but then again toon fans are gonna be MUCH worse, so maybe not...

money it is then

NOLAN YOUR A FUCKIN MONEY GRABBING JUDAS, FUCK OFF YOU FAT TWAT!

Nonsense

could he not want out because of the fans ?

money is a given to a premier league footballer these days, it's not even an issue. So yes why wouldnt he make decisions based on how he is treated by his own so called fans?

if i was on ?20k a week, to come in to work and listen to abuse every time i walked onto shop floor, and was offered the same salary somewhere else, where i could just crack on with my job and people appreciated hard work and 100% effort then i would definately go!

doesnt matter how much you earn, human beings still need that element of job satifaction, if you dont i suggest your brain has died and the rest of you isnt far behind!

I don't know if anyone noticed the other week at home when he was subbed! He went and sulked on his own and stood in the tunnel and watched.

Separating himself from the team, not travelling to train, this has been going on a while, blaitently obvious.

Nonsense

Your probably right, there are more influencing factors in somebody leaving.

But I am sure that when anybody has the option of leaving their current employment and think about going to pastures new a small part of you thinks about is the timimg right, how much will I miss where I am, how much am I appreciated where I am? And for Nolan being the genuine character he is these questions for me will have undoubtedly been played over in his mind.

Every player has their price.

We are ?53M in debt.

Newcastle come in with a bid that our Board accept as being a fair bid for the player.

Nolan is allowed to speak to Newcastle.

Boo boys forcing Nolan out is just utter shite.

It's a business decision IMO.

The bid for Nolan equates to approx 8.5% of our total debt.

He's on a decent salary (for Bolton players).

He's out of form and seems unhappy.

It's (and I apologise for using the phrase!) a no-brainer IMO.

Horsesh?t.

Your deluded if you think thats why we've sold him.

I don't think that's why we've sold him, but I think it's a big factor in why he wants out. Don't blame him either.

And he's officially signed for Newcastle now.

Good luck Nolan. All the best.

just on ssn he has signed

yep, gutted he's gone, top lad,and i honestly believe we got 100% from himevery time he pulled the shirt on. but we move on, i just hope for the clubs sake they do have someone decent and big enough to fill his boots!!!

Good Luck Nobby!!!!! :drinks:

Good luck lad !

Not saying the boo boys are forcing him out, there are definitely more influencing factors. But come on surely you are not trying to say the current negativity and abuse which has gone his way won't cross his mind in leaving? For someone who has been so dedicated to the club and has such genuine appreciation for his time here, he will take all of this into consideration when making a decision to leave

To say that he wouldn't, does him as an individual a dis-service

Good Luck - see you on 28th Feb !

All the best Kevin

Yep all best, just really do hope we have something lined up.

Didn't take him long to agree terms, I accept that the medical's at Newcastle don't take too long to process.

Its a surprise how quick this has all developed and to be honest, rather sad. A one club man with 300+ appearances for our club has slipped out of the back door to join one of our relegation rivals.

IMO our club has self imploded in under 48 hours and the future is not bright.

Thanks for the best times Kev - good luck for the future!!

Can you write it into a contract that he isn't allowed to play? Had this been done before for SIGNED players? obviously loan players cant.

any examples?

Sky Sports News.

12.04 Newcastle have completed the signing of midfielder Kevin Nolan from Bolton on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of ?4million.

?4m accoring to toon website... not a bad bit of business IF we have a replacement lined up !

I seem to recall that if a loan becomes a signing then the player is still deemed unavailable. Pretty sure it was Defoe for Pompey v Spurs.

If we dont get anybody in before monday, i predict a riot :vava:

You can't, but there are ways around it.

Tim Howard missed the Scum game when he signed for Everton.
