February 24, 200917 yr I think the main gripe with Lisbon is in actual fact the horrendous show at Wigan the weekend after. The justification for the weakened line-up was to go to Wigan for the win. Not really sure you can blame Megson for the poor show at Wigan but all in all we stayed up - can't say fairer. Lisbon was an excellent jaunt, regardless of the result. But the sacrifice of the UEFA cup has paid off and is now history.

I was only 13 when I saw my 1st game at Burnden Park in the early 80's and as I started following the wanderers: went to all the classic aways Mansfield,Darlo,Dale etc and I had 3 dreams as a BWFC fan growing up. One was to see BWFC 1) in the top league tick 2) see BWFC in a major cup final tick twice,one with junior fbat 3) Watch BWFC away in europe tick 4 times Without dreams football is nowt but a game
