all the replays they've shown on SSN etc seem to be the one where the tackle was off camera it looks a lot worse that way

Which ever way you look at it, he will be half the price today than he was last week.

Too much of a liability for me.

Hard enough playing in the Prem with 11 men and be down to 10 men if he was playing for us more often than not.

BTW is Willie Mckay still his agent ?

I said before that I would take him if the price was low etc...

But for some reason after this latest incident, which probably wasn't his worst, it's just confirmed to me that he will never change. He will always be a jumped up, aggressive, tempremental scouse tw*t, that although can play some football, is too much of a liability to have at the club.

He's been suspended by Newcastle for coming to blows with the messiah in the changing rooms after the game at weekend, utter knob

Apparently he told Shearer he was a 'Shit Manager with Shit Tactics'.

Good lad Joey!

still love his comment on the England players bringing out auto bigraphies

"England did nothing in that World Cup, so why were they bringing books out? 'We got beat in the quarter-finals. I played like shit. Here's my book.' Who wants to read that?"

I'm not saying I'd want him here and I also agree that his past behaviour is disgraceful, but.........................

he didn't foul Alonso, he went for and got (some of) the ball. A yellow at worst.

It's already been said elsewhere, but he got sent off for being Joey Barton: Shearer made no effort to defend him after the game: openly criticised him in the post-match interviews and this helped fuel the row.

Apparently hes only been sent off 4 times in his career.

Seems more than that.

and do not forget the time he was not playing due to serving time at Her Majesty's Pleasure and at the cost of us, the tax-payers. How much did it cost to keep him behind bars? (only a rhetorical question!)

And also don't forget that a lot of the stuff he's done has been away from the football pitch. Training ground incidents and cigar-in-the-eye incidents around Manchester, etc.

Mr. McKay out of Porridge? That's lucky.

How many tackles has Davies done where a split second late he gets the man and he'd be off? That day can't be far away.

It was a yellow, but he got a red because its "Joey Barton"

If he was available, and fit, I'd sign him.

On the basis he was only paid when he played I would offer him a contract. Its not as if he beats up women or spits in people's faces is it?

or puts fags out in team mates faces, or beats em up

The player tried to set fire to Barton's clothes and Barton retaliated. He's got a short fuse, otherwise very talented, I cant see a queue forming of players of his caliber wanting to join us for the money we are prepared to pay.

He doesn't seem a Megson type of player anyways, I think our manager likes his team to have integrity like himself.

I'd sign him, Diouf is a wife-beating spitter but he's not Joey Barton, so is allowed.

Cheap fee, cheap wages, and a decent player when he gets his act together.

Anyone who doesn't want to sign him coz he's a 'thug' probably gets on with their knitting in the West Upper :good:

Noooooooooooo! Why not go the whole hog and get them both plus Savage just to give the media something to really get their teeth into?

Some hypocritical comments from all over about Barton.

None of us lot have ever punched anyone ???? Had a drink ????? Got a bit physical in a physical game ??

The challenge on Alonso was not even that bad, had it been anyone else, it would have got half the coverage.

A decent player that would withough doubt improve most Prem squads.

Kevin Nolan's challenge and Anichebe was easily worse than Bartons.

Yes KN's challenge was bad. Barton is a great player. Not a dirty fucker at all. Misunderstood. Blah blah Blah.

Would you want him in your team?
