Eddie Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 You have a point BGOE but I still think we have good players and are a decent team. Yes we dont have the flair and skill of previous years but I genuinely believe that with the right management, tactics and team selection we can quite easily achieve mid table respectability. With a scoring stricker in the squad then I would agree with you. Whether the current manager could turn this group (with that striker) into a mid table team, I must admit I am starting to wonder.
Take Hunt Off Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I'm with Sluffy on this too. I really really dont want to be but why oh why did Bolton appoint a dour failure of a manager who was disliked at several previous clubs?. Trouble is he bought in the "honest" type players he feels more comfortable with and less threatened by. He never could manage personalitys or players with flair. Trouble is its too late as he has spent the large transfer kitty on medicocrity and whomever comes in now cannot turn a sows ear into a silk purse. when fans talk about Davo and Ricky being our best players I dispair as only a few seasons ago they were there to do the donkey work for those around them. If megson has used up all the transfer kitty then undoubtably we are in for a rough season , however there is some time left to get a couple of players in/trade , so Garside & Davies HAVE to make some funds available to the manager The decision to spend or not is their responsibilty we have got away with not spending in the past but this time its different we have absolutely no cover up front & unless this is addressed within the next nine days we will be up sh*t creek without a paddle, & the first person to be sent to the Knackers yard will be GM. Here's hoping we get at least one decent striker in.
Guest Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 And who do we replace him with ... same question last week/month/year without one person being put forward and dont any one would be better because they would not be So answers on a post card If we were ever to change manager, he should be called Davies
