Managerial Shortlist
I reckon Roy Keane should be a shoe in. Top quality job whereever he's been, spending very little money as well Might be available very soon as well
-
Tamir Cohen
Fair play to the lad - before this season not seen too much him and what I had seen was mostly mistimed tackles and I didn't rate him He's looked good so far this year though, seems to have a handy knack of being in the right place at the right time.

Cahill England Certainty?
I'd hope he'd stay until next Summer at least. He's guaranteed first team football here, could go somewhere else and end up warming the bench. Come next Summer if we get ?20M for him then fair play to the lad he's been absolute quality for us. If we end up only getting ?8M then as someone has already said I'd be well pissed off.

Prem Finances
Anyone know what this bloke actually does in his day to day job? For ?1k a day I hope it is more than sitting in his office
-
Who Was Annoyed We Won Last Night ?
Yes - waste of bloody space, I had money on us winning in normal time
-
Davis Out For The Season
Gutted Hope everything goes well and he manages to make it back before the end of the season. This a quite a blow, although we've not seen the best of him It thought he looked a decent player.

Birmingham V Wanderers
1-1 Which would be a good result

Stayaway......
Oh, go on then I trawled the whole forum tocome up with the longest words that I could find to cover the fact I have trouble tying my shoes in the morning

People Who Know About Football, Know Why We Sacked Him
Does an inability to tie your shoelaces make your viewpoint irrelevant then? The club is a business and should listen to its customers - whether it acts on what they think is another matter. The current manager does seem to have a handy knack of getting a result when he needs it most and I fully expect that over the next 6 games he will continue to do so. Doesn't mean it isn't like watching paint dry though does it?

Stayaway......
Alienating large numbers of fans isn't going to do the club any good in the long run either is it? Of course you have to run it as a business but most businesses do tend to listen to their customers don't they? Since those customers that are booing the manager are far more vociferous that those that are cheering him then perhaps they should listen? Sacknig the manager might not be the right decision footballing wise but surely from a business perspective the current situation is untenable

Worst Fans In The League?
Worst fans in the league? Utter bollocks - I don't rate West Ham fans very highly or to be known as good fans do you simply not need to boo? I defy any fans of other teams to put up with what we have to watch week in week out and not vent their frustration. It is ok for the media to watch one match and give us their opinion - get Hansen down to the Reebok for a season and then see what he thinks. As for the opposition being intimidated at the Reebok - looking at the opposition lineup is more than enough to dispel any trepidation.

Wanderers V Stoke
In my opinion we haven't played great football for years - some of the stuff served up under Allardyce was equally as dire as the stuff being served up now The saving grace of Allardyce's time was that the shite was sprinkled with some good results - beating the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal sweetened the pill somewhat. At the moment we don't look like beating anyone, never mind any members of the top 4. I was looking forward to the start of the season as I thought we had a pretty easy start (barring Liverpool) and could get some points on the board to ease the abuse that was apparent at the end of last season. It turns out that the opposite has happened and we've not had a great start and the abuse is worse than ever Now, I'm not the Chief Executive / Chairman so I don't get paid big money to decide who manages the club but I do hope they are looking around for a replacement as the current situation should not be allowed to continue. I apologise in advance for any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes, as some of the less forgiving on here seem to think that bad spelling renders your opinion invalid.

Oh No! Delilah Is Coming To Town
Couldn't give a toss about that but turning water into wine would win him a few more friends
-
Oh No! Delilah Is Coming To Town
I'll be in the NSL with my stopwatch - the last match had someone shouting Megson Out within the first 2 minutes - can't even remember if we had touched the fookin ball So what if he is shite / pigheaded / ginger he's here to stay for a while so you might as well get behind the players

Liverpools New Sponsorship Deal
Another good reason for signing Lee-Chung Yong then
-
Liverpools New Sponsorship Deal
Fair enough ?750k doesn't sound like a bad deal then, especially when you add in how often we are on the TV
-
I Heard Yesterday
If Megson went maybe we could get the tried and tests and (currently) un-named manager
-
Liverpools New Sponsorship Deal
There is a decent report in The Times that goes into details on how much everyone got at the start of the 2008 - 09 season: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/media/fo...est-890009.html A bit out of date but apparently we got ?1.2M from Reebok - suppose it is a sign of the times that our sponsorship revenue is down.
-
Wanderers V Stoke
Can a game be a must win when it is only the 5th game of the season? Anyway, I reckon 2 - 0 K. Davies & Taylor
-
A New Player....
Agree with most of what you said but it is hardly "giving youth a chance" when you have blown ?11M on them is it?
-
Adebayor
If someone came along to me and offered to double my wages and I was getting abuse from my current employers I'd be off as well The whole 'taunting' thing has been blown out of all proportion, it isn't like he was flicknig the vs at everyone - which would have been far better, shrug your shoulders and get on with it. The stamp was a disgrace, its only saving grace was that it was on Van Persie who is a dirty b'stard
-
And Scotland
Shame none of the other home nations got through to be honest Still, England's relationship to Scotland is a bit like Bolton's relationship to Bury - you are never really arsed how the lower leagues get on are you but they always want to know how we do
-
Portsmouth 2-3 Wanderers
Hoping to watch this one on t'internet - First win of the season, 1 - 2 Elmander & Taylor
-
Ivan Klasnic
FFS! I don't come on for a couple of days and it is still Megson In / Megson Out Anyway back to the thread - hope he gets on for some of the game on Saturday, don't think he'll start but at least he's there if needed. He also reckons Terry insulted him and punched him in the kidneys but he didn't gob at him
-
England V Croatia
Not at all, that's the main reason I'll be watching it I reckon Heskey will start and it will be 3-1.
