Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion
Are people confusing his son with his brother who did owe the taxman quite a considerable amount.
Moderators Carlos Posted March 25, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 25, 2010 ''Well his son once had quite a big debt to the taxpayer'' Apologies if I'm being thick, but doesn't this intimate that somehow Gary Lineker's son OWES the taxpayer for his treatment? I don't give a toss about Portsmouth and their spectacular collapse but this sort of attitude dissipates rapidly when it's closer to home. It means in terms of gratitude rather than financial. floyd
It means in terms of gratitude rather than financial. Whatever way it's meant, it's bollocks. His thanks will be in the taxes he pays and the contribution he makes to society. But for a seriously ill one year old boy to reach his second, third and subsequent birthdays is thanks enough to me. Link here : http://www.independe...is-1949428.html ?17m Owed to HMRC in unpaid tax One well-placed source told The Independent last night that the administrator, Andrew Andronikou of Hacker Young, is considering offering the unsecured creditors 23p in the pound to settle the debts; Andronikou said he is unable to comment and the amount has not been fixed yet....... If the former owners and HMRC alone accepted the offer, Andronikou and Pompey would be over the line, and it is believed that the taxman will probably be minded, this time, to say "yes". If true, thats the taxman ?13million out-of-pocket. Cheers fellas. And some reckon they shouldnt get punished.
Rembrandt
If true, thats the taxman ?13million out-of-pocket. Cheers fellas. And some reckon they shouldnt get punished. Not to mention that they've used that debt owed to others as a means to stay in the Prem, win the FA Cup and get to another FA Cup final. Still, better not speak too soon, given our own debts. Moderators Zico Posted April 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted April 21, 2010 Pompey are cheeky c?nts this Dindance situation play another game and they owe Lens ?4M fair dos so they go to Lens and say can he play for us as we really want him in the cup final Lens say, go on, just the cup final though, not the league THEN grant turns round, says that's not good enough as he'll need to be match fit at this point I'd have told them to f**k off yet now he gets to play all their games and the cup final http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8628604.stm cheeky bastuds, still, they got away with it would like to think Lens got something out of it oh and the administrator now signs autographs for fans when spotted and asked outside fratton park
TrickyTrotter
Good insight into cost of loan players: Pompey paying Spurs ?250k every 3 months for O'Hara, presumably plus his wages and other fees and bonuses. Burnley paying Pompey ?132k every month for Nugent.
