Really really didn’t need a sequel it ended perfectly

Only good thing about the second one was the 15 minute car chase

I have no fuckin idea what the third one was about

Don't ask the directors FFS

went watching it at the cinema and wanted to leave after that dance/rave party scene

most pointless bit of a film since the wedding in the deer hunter

I went watching that Matrix 2 at The Printworks because I'd flounced out of our flat after a barney with the then missus (huge) - I bought a half bottle of Courvoisier and tipped it into a bucket sized cup of Fanta and drank deeply from it watching the film...

It was so shite I fell asleep after about twenty minutes - after it'd probably played through once already, I woke up needing a piss, went for one, still clutching my brandy and orange and went back to continue my nap.

I was so drunk (I'd been around The NQ prior to being Barry Norman) after my piss I'd stumbled into the wrong screen but was oblivious and soon settled back into my snooze.

I woke about two hours later and it was 'Love Actually' playing, it took about five minutes before I twigged Hugh Grant dancing about probably wasn't a scene from The Matrix 2.

I stumbled to Victoria and got on the first northbound train and began powernapping again.

I was rudely awakened some time later by a conductor.

It was dark by now so I knew I'd overshot Bolton, so jumped off next station.

Langho - never heard of it before, and it is a desolate place, sounds Scottish, I was convinced I'd overslept and was in the middle of some windswept Scottish moor.

Jumped off the platform and crossed the track, southbound train...

Fell asleep again and woke up in Manchester again.

Write a book.

This is an order.

Isn't Hugh Grant in the Director's Cut of Matrix 2, swore I saw him fighting Neo in it 😂😂😂

Been going to our local Picturehouse that's just reopened as its only a 3 min walk. Its lovely, take a pint of beer in a pint pot, nice seats, decent films and no oiks.

Anyway, took my eldest to see Our Ladies - well worth a watch, and the book is good as well, if you like a good coming of age story. Went to see Candyman on Monday, its not a horror film really and was very good.

The Gentlemen. Absolutely brilliant, proper gangsta film, loved every second of it Colin Farrell is superb as always and Hugh Grant shows he’s not a one tricky pony the kerb crawler

I’d watch a standalone film with Colin Farrells character

“Once you’ve seen it you can’t I see it, Nightmare fuel that”

Watching Nomadland tonight - looks like a belter. Pity I missed it at the cinema.

You will love it

I tell people it was great as it makes me feel superior....

It's alright actually, but it's no Slapshot

It's as slow as a Grand scenic

I preferred parasite and gave up on Roma

Not watched Parasite yet - I made it through Roma, and then watched it again for some reason as it was good but hard work, it was loads better the second time. Like a difficult album that somehow all comes together.

Eldest put Falling Down on yesterday, I'd not seen it for years and he'd never seen it, and I'm still undecided as to whether it's total and utter shit or not.

It’s both.

Parasites not bad

Fuck knows what qualified it as an Oscar winner though, other than it fulfilling some quotas

They even cut the bukake scene short

Oscars don’t mean dick.
Took Scorsese to do the departed to win one for best picture

Tarantino never won best picture

A silent fuckin film won best picture

And as good as it was Di Caprios best actor award was a pressured sympathy vote

Generally the nominations are amongst the best of that year though i reckon and recognition enough

Scorsese and Tarantino had more than one

Aviator for me, great film and turn

speaking of the Matrix

here comes number 4

I'll have to watch it

I'm just concerned I'll have to watch all 2 & 3 again to remind myself how things were left

because my OCD won't allow me to just watch number 1 again before watching 4
