August 22, 201313 yr Ok. Cannot be arsed trawling through the thread to see if has been mentioned: But............ "The Place Beyond the Pines" has just been watched and I give it a rare 9 out of ten. Anyone into the making of film would admire this for its cinamatography, especially in its first third. Crash film fans need not watch even though the scrambler bike getaways are bloody good, its not about that, or violence. A very artistic film that is two films in one. The first third is different than than last two thirds but they cleverly come together in the last third. A good film that I would really recommend as different. 9/10 for me.
