I completed missed the goal and the sending off live, but we did get to see some lively Arsenal on Arsenal action outside The Bailey on Holloway Rd post-match, shame the cops turned up before any serious damage could be done.

I'm warming to Robbo, the situation called for a leg breaking challenge and he duly obliged. I hate Arsenal, especially the gobby homo brigade to the left that I always seem to end sitting near.

Yes- Robbo's firm challenge was a highlight for me as well. I also enjoyed seeing the Arsenal pansys going through the laughable " hold me back or i'll kill him " routine afterwards.

Robinson should have been sent off.

It wasn't a surprise really was it when we got beat 4-1, was it?

For me though the tactics where totally wrong especiallly against a team who play like Arsenal do. Players like Fabregas don't like it 'up em' so why the hell didn't we get in their faces more and hassle them with the kick here and there. Going back a few season, we hassled them that much they hated playing against us, now we are a push-over and can't get anywhere near them.

OC needs to learn how to play these types of teams.

Villa away will be interesting.

You can't hope to get anything from Arsenal with only one genuine tackler (Muamba) in midfield.

Tamir Cohen who is next best defensively gets stuck in and should replace Petrov away.

I am afraid Petrov is looking a bit of a luxury at present.

I would say Taylor away from home instead of Petrov

not sure about him being a luxury either, in that he's not down owt yet, forgot he was playing on Sat till he went off

Robinson should have been sent off.

He would have been if the ref or linesman had seen it, but he was smart with the tackle, back to the ref and side on to the line-o and just late enough to get given the benefit of the doubt, it made me smile I know it shouldn?t but it did

first goal arsenal man was stood on line as ball went into net-how can that not be offside

muamba was absolute shite cant believe he stayed on pitch for 90 minutes,as for people who reckon he can tackle, well he may have put odd tackle in but we never seem to get the ball or benefit & i agree petrov looks a luxury away from home

as for atwell he wasnt on is own he not no help from his assistants

because he wasnt active. like it or lump it, thems the rules.

also, what other tackler would expect to be brought on?

petrov is not a luxury, he's just not very good it seems.

We've played 4 league games and Petrov's been dragged off twice due to tactical subs cos of 2 sendings off.

Let's give the lad the season before we pass judgment eh.

FFS new player comes in and fans decide he's not fit to wear the white shirt :nea:

Agree with you Fruitbat the guy needs to be given a chance to show his worth but he has been very poor so far and seems to have a bad attitude

FFS, gentlemen - I give you Zat Knight. If we'd listened to the prophets of doom after his first few games, he'd be playing in the lower divisions by now. They need time to settle in.

I heard Mark Lawrenson comment on Petrov that his legs have gone.Settling in won't make them come back.

Agree that it's too early to write him off, but he just isn't the man to have in your midfield away to the big 4 when you have to scrap for a result.

didn't people want Coyle in so we weren't scrapping for results away at teams like arsenal?

Coyle has his way of playing and we'll have to accept we can get turned over away at the big sides

It was more the negative approach at home to teams like Hull and Sunderland that people had the problem with iirc.

there was a few threads on here how people were tired of going to teams like arsenal and not even trying to win just grinding out a result.

Apologies. I didn't know such a knowledgable luminary as Mr. Lawrenson, who gets everything right, had passed such a judgement.

You must be right then and we have thrown away our money.

I need to develop my skills at correctly judging a player after a handful of games for his new club. One day, I hope to reach your level of excellence in this field.

You mean you actually listen to and believe the shite that comes out of that blokes mouth? Right OC get Petrov sold cos Lawro says his legs have gone. For fuck sake give the lad a chance, as somebody has already pointed out we have played 4 league games and he has been subbed twice due to sendings off. Oh and I don't see the evidence on his performances for us that he has a bad attitude.
