Why did drop dead going down the tunnel?

He said Atwell was too young for this kind of game and was constantly conned by the Arsenal players but noticed when Bolton started to react.

arsenal players went down so easy it was comical at times.

I must admit I was just waiting for him to point to the pen spot

We should have played 4-5-1, we were way too open and got completely over ran by their midfield.

The ref was an utter twat and was bossed by Fabregas all through the match.

On a better note, Lee played far better and looked more of a threat, and another goal for Elmander will do his confidence some good.

Is Cahill out for 3 matches now though? Whatever it is he will be out for the Villa match and I really can only see another loss at their place which means another few months of abuse from my brummie housemates, great  .

I was listening in car to Absolute Radio, with Phil Brown as co-commentator and they thought he had been sent off as last defender, they never mentioned it was a bad tackle or owt???

Then got home and Sky & BBC seemed to have differant take on it altogether.

The only thing they all agreed on was shocking performance of referee!!

Incredible that a team with largely English players never gets the decisions against a team of foreigners managed by a French twat.

Is it any wonder that the country is in a mess when we do so little to give our own a fair deal?

dunno if last defender but it happened on the touchline infront of the dugouts.

deffo a yellow card, never ever a red

No it couldn't have been for a proffesional foul I have seen it now, but the most telling thing for me is the reaction of everyone watching, virtually no one appeals even for a free kick never mind a sending off, not the crowd, not the setwards etc, not even the Arsenal bench!! The only person I saw appealing, on the clip I saw from close up behind the incident was the Arsenal coach??

That aside some of the defending is a complete joke, watch Cahill for their second, ball watching like a pub player

just loses his man completely who has a simple free header. Knight has a shocker for the 3rd, and the 4th is just embarrasing for the entire team.

Wasn't even a yellow, couldn't believe such a decision. Any appeal against a straight red?

Watched the game with an Arsenal fan and for what it's worth he thought it was a shocking decision to send Cahill off and agrees it should have been a foul for us before the incident. The crowds reaction and the excitemnt of the moment influenced the ref. I just wish our crowd was as partisan.

Just on way back from game.. Still 2 and half hours away.. First have we played decent at times but second half we we're overun..

You can appeal a straight red but not a sending off as a result of two yellows I beleive. In which case I would be optimistic of anyone with any sense overturning it - therefore, it won't be. Tough week for Cahill after the high last Friday.

2 Things, 1 that was never a red card, it wa a foul on lcy near the Arsenal box, and 2, nice kit !

i can deal with losing to arsenal at the emirates, but there is always something unpleasant about it

Twat of a ref. Should be in a pub league. Not much else to say really. If we'd lost 2-1 it would probably been a fair result.

Very true, we were a intimidating set of rascals at Burnden :(

We benefitted from equally bad refereeing in the last home game.It was a harsh penalty award against Birmingham to get us back in the game and the equalising goal was never a free kick.Perhaps it was the Reebok Roar that intimidated the ref?

Never a red card, but it was a stupid schoolboy challenge so far from goal. And he's trying to show he's an England international .......

As for the defending (what little I saw on MotD), it was pitiful. Have we no defence coach worth the name ?

Lee Dixon supported Cahill over the red card, but he was at a total loss as to why we set a defensive line so far up the pitch. The number of times Arsenal looped the ball over us for a runner going through was ridiculous.

As previously mentioned 4-5-1 should always be the formation away from home especially against the top 5-6 teams, our midfield needs to show more agression the back 4 should sit in and around our own penalty area, Cahill and Zat Knight were all over the pitch, when they should be keeping there shape in a disciplined formation, finally Petrov looks dog shit to me get super Matty Taylor back in the team asap.

p.s. Forgot Bogdans performance best player on the pitch for us by a mile an clone of Jussi and his kicking is also better than Jussi, what a prospect he looks.

Fabregas might be the best player in the prem, but what a moaning little cunt he really fuckin is.

the ref got the entire game wrong, pablos is right it was a foul on LCY at the other end before cahill got sent off, it wasnt a red card but it wont get overturned for the fact that both feet are off the ground and hes gone from behind.

overall the result was only a case of 11 vs 10 man i thought we played some good stuff and i just hope its not too disheartening for the squad.

Back from t'Emirates & again it feels like we were cheated. All through the game ,Arsenal players dived ,rolled around on the floor & hassled the referee, while their "fans " squealed about everything. The biggest surprise of the sending off was that it was Cahill & not SKD who they targetted after his booking.

Just before Cahill went off ,Lee was fouled & at 2-1 down we were still right in the game, but the sending off effectively finished us. Already being a goal down ,we had to push forward & Arsenal were able to pick us off.

Robinson was our best player, & Lee had a much better game(I hadn't noticed how good he is in the air till yesterday ) On the downside ,Petrov was very poor.

I still think we need to strenghen our midfield for games like this, but yesterday the refereeing would still have beaten us.

Me and another white was in their club level right on the half way line and had a good view of the whole game. To be honest I thought we were slugish and although Robinson clattered a few of them he was no where near our best player. For me he was one of the worst but there was a lot of bad performances.

Holden was magnificant throughout and all over the pitch and in contrast Muamba who usually has the engine was a shadow of himself(maybe its playing against his old team that overpowered him?) Kevin Davies was as good as you can get in terms of winning the ball but apart from his goal Johan offered little in support. The back four was all poor and I felt sorry for Bogden but he is not ready for this standard based on this game. Chunky was very lively and Petrov was as bad as you could get and seemed to sulk all the time.

The ref and fans was just how you called it and do they fackin annoy. Had a right old go at some sat beside us throughout the game; bunch of southern softies. The Davies booking was him and Wiltshire both diving in for a 50/ 50 ball and Wilshire coming off worse; Cahill late tackle should not have happened but for the cheating officials and it was NEVER a sending off.

As for Fabrigas the cheating Spaniard and moaning at the referee throughout I was hoping near the end for someone to shoe him big time and thats what annoyed me most that he didn't get the kick he desearved.

Villa are next and I am sat again in with their fans (two Villa fans I do business with). We need to step it up a bit or we will get our usual result there and our central defence pairing with our week full backs could make it embarrassing. The Chicken Balti pies make it worthwhile though and its almost a home match for the Worcester whites so get there COYWM

I completed missed the goal and the sending off live, but we did get to see some lively Arsenal on Arsenal action outside The Bailey on Holloway Rd post-match, shame the cops turned up before any serious damage could be done.

I'm warming to Robbo, the situation called for a leg breaking challenge and he duly obliged. I hate Arsenal, especially the gobby homo brigade to the left that I always seem to end sitting near.
