See where you're coming from. I really do hope Owen's priority is our shocking defence. But, if these kind of players come available on the cheap, then why not take a punt?

 

Few injurys and our squad is dire. Strength in depth is vital in the premier league, and these 2 are more than capable.

For me we could do with a better right back and a better left winger, don't rate Taylor and Petrov hasn't impressed[even though he's chipped in with some goals and assists]

 

But it's not like we are desperate for replacements and with Steinsson and Ricketts[RB] and Taylor and Petrov[LW] I doubt Coyle will want extra.

You've used the word "dropped" a lot.

 

Replace it with the word "injured" and see if it scares you any.

Wheater would be a very good buy. He won't cost too much as he's out of contract in the summer. He's only 23, english, has prem experience and was deemed good enough to be called up to the england squad when he was in the prem. For ?1-2m he would definitely be worth getting.
