Gumbo Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Hyde United Reserves clinch league title in a 6-0 victory at Buxton. With one game to play at home to Ashton United tomorrow the young tigers will celebrate with a presentation after the game. Further celebration will be had by one young tiger who will be in the away end watching Bolton at Oldham on Saturday. His older brother will be in Hyde's first team this Saturday too. Well done Hyde and Horwich! Quote
Carlos Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Mental we could be playing some of Gumbo's lads next season. Well in. Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 (edited) Darlington have messed up on the new ground and they're not allowing them in the play offs. Good news for salford and chorley.Interesting, what's gone on there? Can they not just play somewhere else for the season? Sure they are at Bishop Auckland currently Our factory is up near Yarm and I drove past that new ground in Darlington on Wednesday, not sure what went on but it's a right mess that the football club don't use it Similar to when Coventry moved out for a season Edited April 14, 2017 by birch-chorley Quote
Ghana White Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Apparently the rules have changed and you need 500 seats in two stands to go up. Darlington said they didn't realise when they did up the rugby club for the move back to Darlington. Sounds like a complete cock up. Apparently they nearly played someone who was banned earlier in the season until some fans spotted it and stopped the club doing it. I'm guessing it's volunteers who run a lot of it but sounds like club secretary should step down. Quote

Ghana White Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 They're a funny lot. They arrived at ramsbottom with a firm a couple of years ago. Not sure who they were looking to fight. Quote
Gumbo Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 (edited) A 3-1 win at home to Ashton United sealed the Championship for Hyde United Reserves this afternoon. Proud of a side That had nine U18s in the squad and a side that when the opponents acted in a inappropriate manner we could rise above it. I fear for Horwich yoof full back who's celebrating at Oldham tomorrow! #Champions Edited April 14, 2017 by Gumbo Quote

Carlos Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Another superb 2-1 win for Colls again after being 1-0 down at 1874 Northwich. Goal worthy of winning any game, certain folk were very well refreshed. 4 to go, 3 wins needed as it stands. Quote

athywhite1958 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Anotehr great away win for Colls at Winsford, 2-0 on a really shit pitch, Bootle also won so we need 2 points from 2 games to win the league, we're at home against Abbey Hey on Monday when hopefully we'll do enough to win the league Quote
Carlos Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Some clown started talking to us, he was Bolton but his lad was playing for them, Pete knows him. What a balloon, their captain (decent player) is better than all ours. Oh aye. Celebrations were a bit muted, immediately focused on tomoz. Quote
Salford Trotter Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I hadn't realised how much Salford City had developed their ground until a mate showed me the building work that had gone on over the last few months. The last home game v Darlington is all ticket so they're expecting a bumper crowd Quote
