It's FA Trophy, Colls have never played in it before this season, hence are unbeated in it. Win this, and it's winable, then the Salford City/Stockport County/Chorley/Chester types are in the draw. Potential nice pay day.

A date for your diaries, on Saturday 4th July Atherton Collieries will play Bolton Wanderers, Neil Lennon has said he will bring a good squad down

  • I'm very fair and even handed on this one. I hate both sets of cunts.

Is the Colls - Marine game a big occasion, say bigger than an average league game, or is it like the early rounds of the league cup for Wanderers ? If it's a big do, i might do a bit of gloryhunting ( & tick off the ground )

Very much a bigger occasion. Aside from the potential of drawing Stockport/Salford/FCUM in the next round, winning in this round is worth £4,000 in prize money which is obviously a significant sum to a club like Colls.

30 odd years ago they turned up at boro and were less than pleasant, then

Doubt theyve improved with time

Colls 7/4 on 365 if anyone's interested.

Marine 1/1

Shit result, glad to see some old daft cunts like me on the ground.

Rammy beaten 4 1 by Alty, Rammy played alright Alty best team I've seen them play this year, they still needed a defection and keeper error to get 4.

Overall scoreline a bit harsh on Colls but Marine were a class above at times.

Colls better side first half imo

Fuck knows what happened in the dressing room at HT

Marine home to FCUM in next round.

Reduced price admission at Brighouse v Colls on production of a Football League season ticket. Good news given the 6 of us travelling includes 4 BWFC season ticket holders!

not sure if i'm going brighouse or not yet, out friday night so depends on how i feel sat morning i think

We met up with George Mulhall there last time we went, his son takes him to watch Brighouse, proper nice fella

Colls kids/youth team setup is getting bigger and bigger...

That's the problem isn't it, one gobby prick and that's all you can remember of the place.

True pal, rest where fine. I was suprised he wasn't chinned tbh, luckily Kieth give him shit back and it blew over. But even though we stuffed em i still think of this one cunt.

The gobby bloke was there when they played Rammy. I'm guessing he was one of the two who randomly shouted United. On the whole though they seemed fine to me. Been screwed over just like burscough before them. Harsh

Hope they set up a squat in the landlords back garden and play games there.

Sounds a right twat.

3-0 win for the Colls at Brighouse and a fine day had by all (until trying to get home from Manchester)

The V1 doesn't stop at Piccadilly anymore. :)

It doesn’t stop anywhere on tonight’s evidence! Ended up getting train to Atherton from Salford Central (£4.90 single!!) then bus back to Leigh from there.

My good deed for today was helping a young wench from Lithuania who wanted to go to Nelson when she landed at Wigan NW from Glasgow, I made sure she got the right train back to Preston for her connection.

Lithuania to Nelson.....via Glasgow and Wigan. The poor lass.
