Non League Chatter

A few weeks away yet, but this could be the biggest attendance Victory Park have had for many a year with it being a title cruncher. Come on Chester beat those Leigh stealing body-snatchers.

A date for your diaries, on Saturday 4th July Atherton Collieries will play Bolton Wanderers, Neil Lennon has said he will bring a good squad down

  • I'm very fair and even handed on this one. I hate both sets of cunts.

  • Said nobody ever

Good man nice 1

If you get fed up with the Peoples Club, Marine is a nice little set up down the road.

I'm on it. But only when Everton are not playing.

You lads missed a good win for your team Bolton today.

Spot on

good trip to south shields on sat with the colls mob

colls also packed out last night for the bonfire.

Do any of you Bolton fans on this thread go and watch your team anymore, or do you go and watch non league pub teams because it's become fashionable? Bet you all sup pale ale and have tat sleeves and beards too.

You will be watching your team in non-league way you are going

His point is valid though

im with you but each to their own

watching us at the moment is brilliant though and if you dont go now, dunno why you would ever bother unless you're just some sad glory hunter who goes to watch the other team

Just wait until we get to another cup final.

Same here not bothered what other folk do but as stated above they missed a good game Saturday.

Club don’t lose out from my point of view as I’m not planning on giving up our three season tickets any time soon. Rare that I’d miss a game at the Macron in favour of a Colls game but wouldn’t be fair to drop out on Saturday and leave mates in the lurch (or Scarborough in a few weeks) just because our form has picked up.

Cant get my head round it would not watch any other game if Bolton were at home I'd feel unclean.

You spend more time sending me love letters from Leigh ticket Office than colls so you are good ????

Anyway, back to the non-league football...

Colls got a bit of a stuffing off Bamber Bridge, 4-1 defeat in the Lancs Trophy. Expect us to be much better on Saturday against Marine in the FA Trophy. No clash with a BWFC game either.

Seems Chorley were unlucky against Fleetwood?

Big E was inconsolable when the Cods grabbed that injury-time winner.

As for unlucky, Fleetwood gave Chorley a goal start and played most of the game with 10 men. Unlucky or failing to take advantage?

To be honest, whenever I've been to any other ground not watching us, its never felt the same.

Sometimes allows you to make a more rational appraisal of performances but just don't get the rush.

you need to grow up

Big game at Colls tomorrow, we play Marine in the 2nd qualifying round of the FA Trophy, a big crowd is expected [with at least 150 scousers in attendance[so we have been told by their secretary]

Thanks mate

Is the Colls - Marine game a big occasion, say bigger than an average league game, or is it like the early rounds of the league cup for Wanderers ?  If it's a big do, i might do a bit of gloryhunting ( & tick off the ground )

It's FA Trophy, Colls have never played in it before this season, hence are unbeated in it. Win this, and it's winable, then the Salford City/Stockport County/Chorley/Chester types are in the draw. Potential nice pay day.
