Poor first half from both sides, the wind was horrendous, second half we played some good stuff considering the weather, a really good deserved win, the locals were more interested in Northampton beating Northwich Vics, a great 3rd goal from our full back Jake Kenny

For a town the size of Northwich, they have more football teams than Leeds. :)

A great win for Colls at Silsden, what a bastard of a place to get to, nice club house and their fans laughed just as much as we did when Norwich scored, they are mostly Leeds fans, hopefully our game at Newton Aycliffe in the FA Vase will be on on Tuesday night, a nice little trip for us

Well organised, manager lectures in sports coaching and analysis so has a good methodology. His structure is currently 3-5-2 but as not yet is happy with personnel to fit it.

Four of our Academy currently play in the team.

The pitch has been excellent and allows Abbey to play forward quickly but through midfield which is great for our boys.

It's a good club and great introduction for our youth boys into men's football to help their progression up the pyramid.

Newton Aycliffe have yet again called the game off, it is rescheduled for Tuesday 5th January, they can't have it on any of the Saturdays because it may cause fixture congestion,  the bigwigs at the Northern League have rearranged the game and not Newton Aycliffe, they are desperate to get one of their (North East) teams to Wembley, there should be a fair few of us at Abbey Hey on Boxing Day, they have a beltin' clubhouse

I know NA are without blame on the whole, but I bet they're happy to play on a Tuesday in the hope Colls have a few missing. Must be due for switching it to Alder House anyway.

I'm sure somewhere in the FA rules is a 'postpone it 3 times and you lose home advantage'

Yeah there definitely is. Suppose NA would argue that next week will only be their third actual attempt after the buggering about with the Northern League.

went to ossett town today to watch the derby against ossett albion. cracking little ground, good clubhouse  and good game on a boggy pitch, with a last minute winner for the albion, who were 2nd best for large parts.a big crowd on of 663, ossett albion have a decent little centre forward called rob bordman who scored twice.

Northern League should have to play in't Trophy as no one moves up into the Evostik. Fucking massive crowds, piss take. Up the NWCFL!

Or at least the top 3 NL teams should have to play in the Trophy the following season.
