fester58 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 is there a deadline for when the aycliffe game has to be played or will they just tweak the rules to suit them. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) To be honest I don't know, we have been told the game is to be played on Tuesday 'up there' if it is postponed we will have to try for Saturday, it seems they will tweak any rules to suit their teams [allegedly] Edited January 10, 2016 by athywhite1958 Quote
fester58 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 meanwhile the league fixtures keep getting postponed because of this. its fucking farcical.come march april they'll be playing 3/4 games a week Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 There will be a pitch inspection at 1.00pm tomorrow at Newton Aycliffe, if the game gets the go ahead our secretary and chairman has to ring round the manager and his team, the players, committee and fans to get off work (after the inspection I'd say around quarter to two) organise a coach and set off around 2.30, if the game does not go ahead tomorrow we have to try on Wednesday then Thursday, if it has still not been played it is up to Newton Aycliffe to arrange a pitch anywhere in the North East or the game is to be played in Atherton!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Traf Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 They'll be aiming to beat Bacup's record of 9 games in 11 days (inc 2 on same day) from a few seasons ago. Quote
C86 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It's on! But at Durham's all weather pitch. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Yes mate, I'm gutted I can't get this afternoon off work, I've just had a row with my manager, at the end of the day I can't really argue as I don't do too bad for getting time off Quote
leigh white Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 It's on! But at Durham's all weather pitch. I remember Leyther Matt getting ejected from that ground for calling the referee a fucking spineless bastard. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I remember Leyther Matt getting ejected from that ground for calling the referee a fucking spineless bastard. Might I add the referee stopped the game and refused to restart until I'd been escorted off the premises! Just glad it should all come to a conclusion tonight and hopefully the lads will do the job. Will be at Hillsborough myself but will be keeping an eye on the score. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 No mate, the pitch inspection was scheduled at Newton Aycliffe before they changed venue Quote
Horwich Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Tell your secretary to get whatsapp ???? Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 A close game from what we've been told, ah well, Bootle away on Saturday, back to the league Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Gutted it ends in defeat after all the buggering about. Hope Aycliffe get a right hammering in the next round. Quote
Carlos Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Match report - Batts got wound up, Cover through on goal given offside, their fans said he was on, Bradders got a yellow for arriving about 3 days late on his man. Second half, hit on the break, careless with the ball, Ben had some joy but no delivery, looked like kicking off more than once, best chance with last kick. Their fans were alright, for mutants. Leyther_Matt Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Next time I'm asked to do the website report, you're doing it for me. Quote
Carlos Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 You can probably just cut and paste most of that. Quote
Gumbo Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 http://www.nwcfl.com/news-articles.php?id=4836 Â Nice article on Abbey Hey and about a couple of my Academy boys who are having their first taste of men's football there. Quote
Ghana White Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 What's the requirements for north west counties? I'd read you had to have seating and floodlights. Prestwich heys are up for it, they're raising money for floodlights but all they've got stand wise looks like a bike shed at one end. No seats but there's orange ones stacked outside the clubhouse you can grab if you want one. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 A great win for Colls today at Congleton, finished 2-1 in a very hard fought game that was never going to be pretty, the pitch looked like it had had cows on it, good win keeps us in with a shout yet Quote
athywhite1958 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Colls game at Bacup tonight is off - waterlogged pitch, the game is now scheduled for Thursday at Atherton Colls ground, this is due to it being postponed on two occasions they lose home advantage, can't see it being on on Thursday as our pitch is still 'soggy' Quote
